ANOTHER DAY!

We have sunshine, snow and a black sky....cant complain when you have a little of everything can we?

What are some things you have done in your life that has left sweet memories?  Someone mentioned in a blog yesterday that they were thankful they had gotten to do this or that and it made me stop and think about my life.  Some things I have done that I am thankful for and enjoy the memories are:

1)  Naturally the birth of my children.
2)  I have travelled to all 48 states and have seen some beautiful sights...Niagara Falls, the Grand Canyon, Seattle and the Sound, Yellowstone and Old Faithful, and so many other places.
3)  I have taken a cruise on a Royal Caribbean liner to Nassau.
4)  I have flown from one side of the country to the other.
5)  Arlington Cemetery was very moving to me.
6)  I went to the United Center in Chicago where my basketball hero, Michael Jordon played, and then ate lunch at his restaurant.
7)  I have been to Mardi Gras in New Orleans.
8)  At the age of 13, I was at church at Belmont Heights Baptist Church in Nashville, Tn., sitting in the balcony, and I was convicted of my sin, and accepted Christ as my Savior.  That was 58 years ago, and I am still a child of the King today.
9)  At the age of 38, with three small children, I returned to school and became an RN, and worked for 14 years at Miller Eye Center, Erlanger Hospital, Chattanooga, TN.
10)At the age of 70, I took a 2 year college course in Bible, and graduated.

Can you name me 10 things you have done in your life that bring sweet memories to you.  Of course there are many many more in my life, but the above ten came to mind as I typed this morning.

Have a grand Tuesday!

  1. Hi Linda! That's quite a challenge! I'll have to give it some thought, and may make it the subject of my blog this evening. Hmmmmm

You sure caught the 'flavor' of your weather in those photos! Crazy weather everywhere! It is only 57 degrees here, at 2:30 p.m., and the winds are ferocious!

  2. 57 is really cold for ya'll...brrrr....as for my blog content, it would be interesting to know what my friends think about their life and things that make them smile or has left good memories...I have been doing a lot of thinking lately, and this is part of what came to light for me...just a small part, but a part.
