We had over 350 in our worship service yesterday and 90+ children in the parade down the center aisle. The music was tremendous and the message our Pastor gave was just what we needed to hear. Acts 16:31 - "... Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house." No other way.
The children sang for us once they all got to the front. We had so many that the Mothers carrying the babies lined up against the side walls.
After the worship service, everyone went over to our activity building/gym and the Easter egg hunt was held there, as it was raining outside. There were over 1,000 eggs hidden and the children seemed to enjoy it there, almost more than they would have outside!
It was a good day.
On another note, did you by any chance see the injury the basketball player got while playing a game? He went down on his leg the wrong way and it broke into and was sticking out of the skin. That was a first for me and I am an RN and have seen many things, but it literally made me sick. They took him immediately to surgery and was able to put it back together and I just pray he will be ok.
Also, the Baylor girls were #1 and supposed to win it all, and they got beat by 1 point. What a shock for basketball watchers.
Well, need to get off this machine and do something constructive. Have a blessed week.
Don't look back.
Something might be gaining on you.

Hi Linda... I wish you and your loved ones a good month ahead. I loved the pictures of your full church yesterday. It's great to watch a church grow. It looks like the kids had a great time too.
ReplyDelete* I didn't see the basketball player get hurt. That would be horrible, and very painful. Makes me cringe just thinking about it. The story just came on the news. They said he broke his leg in 2 places. They didn't show the leg, of course, but he was crying and in great agony. Bless his heart. Hopefully he will make a full recovery.
Take care. Have a great day.
Hi Linda! We did see that game, and the terrible injury. Joe and I both said, almost at the same time - Joe Theismann all over again. At least they didn't replay this injury like they did Theismann's. It does make you sick to see.
ReplyDeleteYour church was PACKED!! Alleluia!! It's so great to see so many youngsters in church.
I wish you a blessed week ahead, dear friend!
Looks like a great time!
