GOD, PLEASE BLESS AMERICA!

The news that the second bombing suspect is in custody is good, and all we can do now, is pray that there are no others, and that we can get the information we need from this one to keep us safe.
Jim and I took a drive yesterday, up one mountain, down another, through a lovely green valley and by the river.  It was a grey day, but no rain and it was nice to get out of the house.
A little, rocky creek on the side of the mountain.
 The valley below
Area where the rock was out cut to ready the highway
Once we got back home, we didn't stick our heads out the door, but listened to the tv news about the bombers, etc.  This morning it is back to 'wintertime' with a temperature of 32 degrees.  I think when it drops from 60-70 to 32, it hurts more or seems colder.  Heat back on, and fireplace going too!
I was supposed to go to a wedding shower this morning at 11, but my back and legs are giving me a fit, so don't think I am going to try it, as I cant stand for long periods, and or walk without pain.  Also, still not getting the sleep I need to function.  I purchased the gift and will take it to church to her tomorrow, if I am able to go.  Guess it is about time for another epidural and may have to call this next week for an appointment.
Aryn and her Dad went to the drivers license place yesterday and she got her learner's permit.  Now, I will be praying for her parents!  lol

ADVICE OF THE DAY
There is no cure for birth or death except to enjoy the interval!

  2. You live in such a beautiful part of our great country! Even on a dreary day, it is breath-taking. Aryn is a wise young woman. I'm sure she will take driving seriously and follow common sense rules - like no cell phones while driving! Sorry to hear you are in pain again. Hope you can get an appointment soon. The weather is just crazy! We haven't had the temperature swings like you are experiencing, but we were in the 90s a few days ago, and back in the 70s today. Crazy weather everywhere!

  3. Your pictures are great. The scenery is beautiful. We've gone to Gatlinburg TN a few times and I always am amazed by the mountain scenery there. ** I also watched the news last night and the live coverage of his capture. I hope he'll talk. There's so many things coming out now about his brother and their involvement with Muslim extremists. ** We're cold here too. Had to turn the furnace back on and wear the winter coats again. ** Sorry you're in so much pain again. I hope they'll help you. ** Congratulations Aryn. All parents have to face this day and it is a nervous situation, especially the first time they go it alone. ** You have a good day. ♥

  4. Beautiful photos! My husband is on his way home from TN. He and his brother and nephew had to drive down with a trailer and pick up our disabled car. I had fun with the grandchildren and my son though
