Matthew 8:26: "And He saith unto them, why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm."
Do you go to Him believing and expecting? Or do you just pray the same prayers over and over, but not really looking for Him to answer?
1) So thankful that Jim is better today, and is more like his old self. Teasing, joking, and EATING!
2) A dear man in my church left this old wicked world behind and went to live with Jesus last night. He was diagnosed with cancer approximately 2 months ago and the Lord wanted him to be free of pain. I am thankful.
3) I am thankful that I had my epidural last week, which helped me be pain free, so that I could take care of Jim in his low time.
4) I am thankful that my children are all healthy and happy.
5) I am so enjoying my 5 year old grandson. He has an imagination that wont quit and we get to have fun with him. He has a new set of walkie talkies and you would think he was the superintendent of a large building complex!
6) Jim and I both have Medicare and good secondary insurance, but we got these in the mail yesterday. Have any of you gotten them or have you seen them before? Is it a scam or real?
7) I am thankful it is summertime tomato season. We had our first one last night that really tastes 'right'. You know the difference....summer ones just have that special taste....yummmm
8) With all the meanness and crime going on in the world, I am thankful to live surrounded by 4 family members, wherein we all know when we are home, and when we aren't. We watch out for each other and check on each other daily. It is almost a family compound...lol No guarantee I know, but makes me feel safer.
9) I am so thankful for old, longtime friends who really care.
10) I am thankful all my laundry is done!!!
I like your new header picture!
ReplyDeleteThere is so much to be thankful for and I really like your list. I'm so happy that Jim is having a good day.
Some very great things to be thankful for! I too received one of those cards - I have no idea if it's legit or not.
ReplyDeleteI love the new picture at the top of your page. Those chairs are so pretty.
ReplyDelete* Yes, we've gotten those drug cards and yes, we've checked it out. We're both on Medicare and have good secondary ins. But Bob wanted to see how they worked and if it's a scam. He took one to CVS to get a refill on his prescription. Handed the girl one of the cards. She did a check both ways... with his insurance and again with the card. If you use the card, they can't run the prescription through your insurance too. With the card alone, he would have had to pay $80+ out of pocket. With his insurance, nothing. So we cut them in little pieces. For someone who doesn't have ins. I think it would benefit them, but not for us.
* I'm so glad Jim is doing better. I pray he continues. And I pray you will be blessed. God bless you both. ♥
Carol, the picture that goes with the title of this blog was a beautiful picture of the Tenn. River and the mountains, but since I am such an OCD person and change my backgrounds, etc. every day, you didnt get to see it. lol But the chairs arent mine either, they just looked like summer to me. Thanks for the input on the Rx cards...we too will throw them away! Have a good Sat. and weekend.
