Two of my precious grandchildren (Elizabeth and Caroline) finally made it to the beach, and they look pretty excited to be there, don't they?  This year they went to another part of Florida and have a house right on the beach.  These little girls love being outside and there is never a dull moment with them.  Their imaginations amaze me because in this day and time, a lot of children would rather be inside the house, playing video games or watching tv....not these two.....they play outside, summer and winter, and make up their games as they go.  I applaud my daughter and son in law for doing it 'their' way.

I really have no new news or anything good to share regarding Jim.  He won't do what the physical therapist or his doctor have told him to do, so I have stepped back.  I looked out the bedroom window and he was on the tractor in the back yard.  The man cannot move his feet, can't walk without stumbling, doesn't know where he is most of the time, but he was on the tractor!  It isn't funny, but the kids have always said if their Dad died in the garden, he would die happy.  That might not be too far from the truth these days.

I have to leave you this morning with a laugh, and hope you enjoy this funny lady!  If you have never heard her, you have missed a good laugh for sure..............

  1. Jeanne Robertson is hilarious!! I've seen quite a few of her videos and they always make me laugh!

What part of Florida are the kids visiting, Linda? We have miles and miles of beaches - miles and miles! The girls do look ready to be in the surf!

Sorry about your worries with Jim. As you said, there is only so much you can do - especially when someone is hard-headed and set in his/her ways. I don't mean that in a disrespectful way - I just understand hard-headed, and Jim seems to be right up there with the best of them! LOL You can only do what he will allow you to do, so throwing up your hands is perhaps the best way to deal with it, and still preserve your own sanity. Bless you!

Hope you have a great Sunday! I know your worship time will renew your spirit! Love & hugs.

    1. Terri, Jenn and her family went to the 30a area in the panhandle this year. They have always gone to Anna Maria Island, but wanted the shorter drive for a change. With the girls it took them so long to drive, having to stop more often....

  2. I've also seen some of Jeanne Robertson's videos. She is a "hoot"... as the kids say.
That's not good that Jim won't do what he should.
    You take care, Hon. ♥

  3. I love that you are putting something funny at the end of each of your posts. I had not heard the above clip and it was really good! Did you watch the video when she wore her pashmina during a performance?! It's and older show but hilarious, too. I have only seen her on video - - not live.
Glad the girls are having a great time. You can see in their face they have a zest for life.
I am so sorry about your husband. I pray you are getting an occasional break because caregivers need that. Have you tried hiding keys for vehicles or not yet? We will pray that he does not injure anyone. It is difficult when they are non-compliant with things that would help them but some people - - husbands in particular - - - don't like to be told anything. Thanks for finding time to post. You do lots better on that than I do.
