I know everything is blooming outside and the pollen count here is off the wall high. I am thankful not to be bothered with breathing problems, but know lots of folks do. So, the outside blooms are beautiful, but I have some inside blooms that are rocking it right now too.....my African Violets are all in full bloom in my kitchen window.
No, this one is not a violet! I keep my aloe plant in the window so that if anyone gets a burn, it is handy, and by the way, it works!
Church last night was so good, as always. The choir director brought in the message in the absence of our Pastor and the title was unusual - 'Reasons NOT to go to church'.
1) Drifting from the Word of God.
2) Doubting the Word of God.
3) Dullness toward the Word of God. Bored.
4) Despising the Word of God. Rejecting the truth and His death for us.
We all the need the church and the church needs us. We need to go back to the "HIM BOOK".Jesse, my 5 year old grandson ran in the back door and said, 'Nana, can I go to church with you tonight?' You surely know that I said 'yes' and was a happy camper to have him WANT to go with me. When we got home, he couldn't wait to run to tell his Dad (my son) that he went to church tonight! A little child shall lead them!
I made the taco casserole from the recipe that I saw on Facebook yesterday and it was really good, taste wise, but was dry. Not sure what you could add to give more moisture to it.
I questioned putting the tomatoes and lettuce on it while baking, but it worked, so if you choose to make one, don't fret about that.
One last picture........a neighbor and relative brought us a summer camp brochure from a private girls school here in town, and lo and behold, there was a picture of my oldest granddaughter, Aryn, in it! She doesn't go to the school, but attended their summer camps when she was younger, as you can tell. This is my basketball granddaughter and she started playing very young! She and the girl in the picture go to different schools now, but are still friends. (She is the one on the right and looks like she played in the dirt!)
Have a wonderful Thursday!
Remember, if you’re headed in the wrong direction, God allows U-turns!
Good morning, Linda! I love the title you came up for today's post! Your plants are beautiful! I wish Michigan would start blooming! Maybe with all this rain we have been getting, we will start seeing it. Your taco casserole looks yummy! I loved seeing the picture of Aryn at that young age. I'm used to seeing her as a teenager. Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteI love your photos of the beautiful flowers. Things are really starting to bud and blossom around here now . I love the flowering trees.
ReplyDeleteWow cute picture of your grand daughter when she was just getting started in sports. I've enjoyed seeing the pictures of her growing up
Have a blessed day!
Love the pictures of your violets! That's wonderful your grandson wanted to attend church...what a blessing!
ReplyDeleteI think your plants are quit pretty there. And the allergy count here in GA is over 8024!
ReplyDeleteI can't always find a title either. So I just use the date most of the time. ** Your violets are so colorful. I love African violets but could never raise them.I have a brown thumb. ** What a blessing that your little grandson wanted to go to church with you. "Raise them up in the way they should go and they will not depart from it." Your casserole looks good. ** Hope you're having a good day.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great pic find!!! I enjoyed your flower pics too. I hadn't thought of keeping an aloe plant. Good idea!
ReplyDeleteHi Linda! Your violets are really beautiful! I miss having an aloe plant. We had a whole bed of them outside, but the lawn guy tore them all out. I wanted the bed cleaned up, not all the plants torn out. I just haven't replaced them yet - need to do that, because I know how well it works on burns and cuts. Aryn makes a great covergirl!! And how great that Jesse wanted to go to church with you. A blessing indeed!
