I know this is a cartoon, but I promise you, it is true of me! Does anyone else have this problem? I used to clean one room until it was finished completely, but now, I bounce from one room to another and it seems I never finish anything.
As I mentioned yesterday, I didn't get to go to church, so will share my devotion with you. It was really 'me' to a 't'! The title was "I Need To Quit".
1) I need to quit being so easily offended.
2) I need to quit trying to 'fix' everybody, and concentrate of me, because I need the most work.
3) I need to quit behaving like nothing is wrong when I know there is so much I need to work on myself.
4) I need to quit being afraid my friends and family will see I'm a sinner saved by grace. Then maybe I can help someone else to see Jesus as I do and accept Him as their Savior.
5) I need to memorize this verse:
Matthew 7:5, "Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye."
I also found my new favorite song. Listen to the words. Have you heard this song before? I had not and discovered it, while watching a Bill Gaither program on television. His guests were the Statler Brothers. They are retired now, but some of the old Gospel songs they sang, are still around and applicable today.
You cannot shake hands with a clenched fist.
~Attributed to both Golda Meir and Indira Gandhi
"You cannot shake hands with a clenched fist." That is awesome and so true!
ReplyDeleteYour cartoon describes Walt to a 'T'. He will start a project and he won't totally finish it before he starts on something else.
Thanks for sharing "I Need To Quit"..I need to work on the same things. Such a great reminder! Wishing you a week filled with much happiness and many blessings!
Oh yes... I also have ADCD. It's the part where no one can see I've accomplished anything. I live that proverbial life where the hubby walks in and says "what did you do today?" :) ** That is a good devotional. I need to work on those same things. Thank you for sharing. ** That is a beautiful song. I don't remember hearing it before. It gave me goose bumps. I'm going to share it and possibly find the CD. Thank you so much. ** You have a great day. ♥
ReplyDeleteI have ADCD LOL. I really have to keep myself at task. Sometimes I set a timer and make it a game LOL it works. See how much I can get done before the buzzer goes off.
ReplyDeleteThank God for His love . Thanks for sharing
I've had ADCD in the past...but it's in remission at present. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I can relate to the cartoon!! Your verse from Matthew was in my Bible study reading yesterday (or maybe it was Sunday). Certainly one to remember! What a friend we have in Jesus!! Blessed indeed!
