Good Monday morning.....what is on your agenda for today? I don't plan for a whole week any longer, just for today. It is still a grey day, but the rain has ceased at least. The washer and dryer are calling my name and guess I will spend my day with them!
We had a wonderful day at church yesterday. Our Pastor had been gone for 3 weeks....two on a mission trip, and one back in his home town in West Virginia for a revival at his old church. He was so happy to be back in his own pulpit and it came out in his messages. We are a very close church family and we love him and his family dearly. His love of God and church spills over from him to us.
QUESTION OF THE DAY.............
What place in the United States has the most sunshine during the year?
Yuma, Arizona, has more than 4,000 hours of sun per year.
Hamilton County Courthouse
Sounds like a great weekend :) yes you never know what you will see people wearing these days. Funny comic tho :) hope you have a good week
ReplyDeleteI think we should still try to look our best when we go out. I'm just as guilty as the others tho; however, I don't go past my driveway in my pj's. I have even had whispers and finger pointing for overdressing!! YUP! It happened a couple of years ago at recital. It made me very uncomfortable until the husband of the instigator came over to me and told me my dress was lovely and I looked very nice.
ReplyDeleteOh golly, Linda. I remember when we really dressed up - in our Sunday clothes - to go into Columbus to shop. It was a huge event and we wanted to look our best. Speaking of Sunday best, that has changed too. Maybe because we live in Florida and have lots of vacationers, we see more shorts and tank tops in church, but you might see most anything at church, too. It's really kind of sad and has everything to do with respect.
ReplyDeleteGlad you pastor is back, and that you did go to church. Hope the rain lets up a bit for you!! Have a good Monday!
I guess I'm old fashioned in some ways . I think it's good to at least be well groomed going out into public & I still dress up for church.
ReplyDeleteOh sunshine! I love it.
Your church family sounds wonderful!
Have a great day!
I want to move to Yuma....wow, now that is a lot of sunshine! Growing up in Seattle, has me always looking for more!
ReplyDeleteYes, I live in a college town and always amazed when I see people wearing their pjs to the grocery store!
I used to plan menus out for the week - - - but now do well to do them each day. I pray for guidance and the ideas come for the meals.
ReplyDeleteToday was another wonderful day with our sweet Benjamin. He took a stroller ride around the neighborhood. I didn't have a heart attack pushing him back up our hill!!! My husband joined us for lunch - - and I took him back to his mom after school. Now I am about to freeze some breakfast sandwiches (Hawaiian Wheat Rolls, Boars Head Ham, and Swiss Cheese - - YUM!)
Those sandwiches sound yummy! So glad to got to spend the day with the little one and the weather was just right to stroll.
ReplyDeleteOne of my biggest pet peeves is when I see a person wearing their PJ bottoms out in public. If you don't have two extra minutes to put on a pair of pants, just stay home..LOL.
