2) I am thankful that we can get to see Jesse play a tee ball game this evening.
3) I am very thankful for the warm temperatures and sunshine we have had for the past 3 days. Instead of being a couch potato, I am a porch potato and love sitting outside to read. Speaking of....I have been reading mysteries all winter, so when I chose my next book to read, it is a light-hearted one..."Charlotte Figg Takes Over Paradise" by Joyce Magnin. I haven't gotten far enough in the novel yet, to tell you what it is about, but so far, it is funny and easy reading.
4) I will be in charge of our Sunday School class meeting this month and my son is going to cook some BBQ for me on his nifty cooker. I am thankful I don't have to cook!
5) I am thankful that I know how to compute and have a computer. Only 2 of the members of my SS class know what we are talking about when we talk about blogging, internet, Kindle Fire, etc. Me, 71 and my teacher, 55, are the only two. This is the technology generation and I love gadgets so maybe that is why I love to compute.
6) If you want to have a GREAT berry pie and don't have time or don't want to cook it, try the Marie Callendar very berry pie....it is incredible, and the crust is perfect. It has raspberries and blackberries. YUMMM!
7) We are thankful we got a 'save the date' card from a family member. We are just thankful they thought we could make it to the Keys!
8) I am having a little stomach problem this morning, and so very, very thankful to be at home, and not at work or some other event. Nuf said!9) Hint for the day:
10) I am having back and leg pain again, and am thankful for pain medicine, and for a doctor that understands. I wanted to put off another epidural until summer, but at this rate, doubt I can make it. Thankful for your prayers for comfort.
Go out and make a difference in your community. You don’t need endless time and perfect conditions. Do it now. Do it today. Do it for twenty minutes and watch your heart start beating.
Isn't it great to write down what we are thankful for? It can be an eye opener for sure. I love the Save The Date card that your family member sent out..so cute! I will pray for your back problems. I'm so sorry that you are going through this. I hope you snap a picture of Jesse at his T-ball game tonight! Have a wonderful and peaceful day, Linda!
ReplyDeleteLinda, I'm sorry the pain has returned so that you are thinking about another epidural already. Fiddlesticks!! I think I have that book on my Kindle (Charlotte Figg). I'll have to look for it when I finish the one I am reading now. I love Marie Callender's pies! They are all good, and I make awful pie crust, so that is my 'go-to' when I need pie! Good luck to Jesse and his team! Hope you get some pictures to share. He is so cute!! Have a good day, dear friend!
ReplyDeleteThat's good you get to watch Jesse's game tonight. Isn't it great to be able to sit outside and read again. We've had a long winter and I love the warmer temperatures we've gotten the last few days. The title of your new read sounds interesting. I'll be waiting to hear your opinion. I've been reading mysteries all winter too. I'm also a gadget geek. I'm thankful Bob bought me my first computer 25 years ago. That got me hooked and I taught myself how they work.
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a great day.
Always good to be thankful for each and every thing that we have and or is happening in our lives. Glad that you keep up with computing. My dad has as well and we communicate a lot that way, as he lives far away.

That taco dish looks yummy.
