I told you last week about our Pastor, his wife and their daughter going on a mission trip with her senior high class to the Dominican Republic. They are keeping us up to date with pictures. Makes me doubly thankful for a Monday!
Their village.
The fellowship area of their church.
The grocery store.
The classroom at the school in the village.
Their houses.
The bathroom at school.
I am thankful my God is here but He is there too!
Another helpful hint to use at home:
DID YOU KNOW?
Bee stings - meat tenderizer
Chigger bite - Preparation H
Puffy eyes - Preparation H
Paper cut - crazy glue or chap stick (glue is used instead of sutures at most hospitals)
Stinky feet - Jello !
Athletes feet - cornstarch
Fungus on toenails or fingernails - Vicks vapor rub
Kool aid to clean dishwasher pipes. Just put in the detergent section and run a cycle, it will also clean a toilet. (Wow, and we drink this stuff)
Kool Aid can be used as a dye in paint also Kool Aid in Dannon plain yogurt as a finger paint, your kids will love it and it won't hurt them if they eat it!
Peanut butter - will get scratches out of CD's! Wipe off with a coffee filter paper

I am just full of information this morning, aren't I? lol I pray for you a good Monday and hope all your wishes come true.
I expect to pass through life but once. If therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do to any fellow being, let me do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again.

Good morning, Linda! Your post this morning indeed gives us countless reason we should be grateful to see Monday. There are people around the world that would give anything to have the life that we have. The photos you posted are a reminder of this. I love the list of tips you posted. I am going to save this to my computer! Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteSome very real reasons there to be thankful this morning for all we have.
ReplyDeleteYes, so much for us to be thankful for. How wonderful that your pastor and his family (and more) are doing good work there. I must stop dreading Mondays!! Love the tips you posted! I use an ice cream scoop to do pancakes - one of those with the lever you push with your thumb to scrape out the scoop. It works great for pancakes (and the smaller one I use for cookie dough). Have a great day & week, Linda!!
ReplyDeleteYour background today is so pretty. It is very springy. ** Oh my gosh... when I look at those pictures of the way those poor people live, I feel so blessed. I know God is with them. ** I wonder, with those helpful hints, who was the first person that did some of them. Would you ever think to put Preparation H on your face? LOL
ReplyDeleteI hope you're having a great day. ♥
I like some of those hints - thanks for sharing. sandie
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing such great tips!
ReplyDeleteGood morning. Thank you for the photos to remind us that we are so blessed here with comfortable places to live. Our churches and schools , stores and so much more are so far above what many of the earth's poor have. I do see some big smiles on some of those precious children though & that is a gift from God. God bless those who reach out in love to sharing God's love to others. We surely can all pray for those who travel on missions. I have heard a trip like that can make a change in the heart seeing things first hand.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the information as well & God bless your day!
