First of all, we did go to the doctor yesterday and had a long, long discussion about Jim having the Hoveround. Rather than bore you with the details, suffice it to say, he isn't going to apply for one at this time. The doctor did fill out the paperwork and is keeping it in his file, for future need. I felt disappointment, aggravation, and useless.
Secondly, we did attempt to go watch Jesse play in his tee ball game, but because we couldn't get close enough to watch the game from the car, and couldn't walk the distance (Hoveround needed), we turned around and came back home.
Thirdly, my middle daughter told me last night she is beginning the work for her graduate degree and it will take her approximately a year. So proud of my three children.
As we pulled into the driveway, a guy we know pulled in behind us in his pickup truck to show us the catfish he had caught in the river.
Can you imagine as big as this catfish is, how fishy it would taste! YUK! We live about 1/4 mile from the Tennessee River and lots of people go through the area to fish from time to time. He was thrilled!!!
Finally came the basketball game between the Lady Vols of Tennessee and the team from Louisville, and they killed us. Pretty good for the first year of the new coach at Tennessee tho, and we will be back.
Today I will get the oil changed in my car; get my hair cut, and go to church tonight.

If it moves, tax it.
If it
keeps moving, regulate it.

if it stops moving, subsidize
it.

I'm sorry Jim decided to wait to get the scooter. They make such a huge difference and allow one to get out and enjoy life again! Boooooo. I know how disappointed you are. Maybe last night's predicament at Jesse's game will make him think about it some more. Keep us posted!
ReplyDeleteGreat news that your daughter is going back to school!! That is a huge catfish, and I'm sure it will not taste very good. Wild catfish are a little too fishy (mucky) tasting for me. I do enjoy farm raised catfish (boned), though.
I enjoy the farm raised catfish too, but that one just looked nasty to me! lol
DeleteCongrats to your daughter!! Sorry you couldn't get to see the game :( hope you can get one of those motorized w/c soon. Great pics!!
ReplyDeleteWell, that's a real bummer. From what you've said, I was hoping you guys would get the Hoveround. I won't ask any questions, but I'm wondering why.
ReplyDeleteThat catfish is huge. I've seen some that size come out of the Auglaize River near us. I'm sure the guy was thrilled, but I'm with you... I don't think it would taste good. I don't like catfish anyways. Too fishy and too bony.
Wishing you a good Thursday. Take care.
