Thursday, 8-9

Good morning!  Looks like we might get a few showers today.  We were just talking yesterday about how green our grass is...normally in the middle of August, it is dry and the grass is brown and crunchy!  Strange weather all year long.  After all, it is the dog days of summer, but sure doesnt feel like it.

My oldest daughter and family are in Florida for one last hurrah before school begins.  My oldest granddaughter took her best friend and they did a series of pictures yesterday!
Notice in the first picture, my g.daughter Aryn, has on a Tennessee shirt and her friend has on an Alabama shirt.  Football season isnt even here yet, and they are already showing their colors!  lol

Aryn on the cow is at a place we always stop on the trip to Florida, called Peach Park.  It is an ice cream place and they have anything and everything there, as you can tell, but the best ice cream ever.

We recently discontinued our land line phone, with the intent of using just our cell phones.  Well, we are obviously behind a mountain, or at least away from the cell towers, because we cant use our cell phones in the house.  Right now, it is ok to go to the porch to sit and talk, but in winter, not so good.  So, our daughter got a "Magic Jack" for us and today, I am going to attempt to install it.  Wish me luck!

Well, ready for cup #2, so have a nice day and be kind to someone....you ever know who is having a hard time.

If there were no schools to take the children away from home part of the time, the insane asylums would be filled with mothers.

  2. Yippee! It does get easier, I promise. Well, the Magic Jack is up and running, and so far, so good. I have one of those phone sets, with a main set, and then 2 other phones, and I plugged the MJ into the base and then all I had to do was plug the other 2 in the wall, and they are going too!
