Grayce came in 6th in yesterday's race, and 8th overall. She was so pleased as were we all. You can see a SMALL number of the kids running.....and G. with her first ribbon....
If you look in the distance, you can see more runners! |
Grayce is the second runner, in the blue tshirt! |
1 of 3 ribbons and 1 trophy! |
Today is my granddaughter Caroline's 7th birthday. It is hard to believe she is 7...seems only yesterday she was born...lol She is having a "paint ceramics" birthday party tomorrow. It was her choice. Have you ever seen a child who seems older than their age? Caroline is that one. She is in the first grade and a great deal ahead of her age in reading, writing and understanding. Her parents are considering the gifted program for her. Pictures of birthday party to come!
That is pretty much my weekend. Hope yours is special too!
This is southern gospel at it's best. I know some or most don't worship this way, but it should lift your spirits, especially if you listen to the words..............if you have never been to the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee, you have missed a very special place. When I lived there (Nashville), I was fortunate to see "The Passion Play" and Roy Rogers there!
Congratulations to Grayce!! She really had a good season!! I know you are proud of her (and all the grands).
ReplyDeleteI loved the gospel song!! Gospel singing and the old hymns are how I was brought up. I always enjoy your sound clips! Thanks!
TGIF for sure!
Terri, I know the Catholic Church, as well as others dont sing these songs or sing this way, and in mine, we dont get as animated, but I do love the old songs, however they are sung. Hope you have a nice "off" afternoon.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to Gracey!
