Day 302 of 2012

Good Sunday morning.  Loving God, and loving each other is something we should practice every single day we are alive.  Not always easy to love each other, but we should try.

My church had it's Fall Festival yesterday and it was a success.  It was a cold, grey day, but that didn't hinder the fun and fellowship.....even the doggie!

Jim's doctor gave him a pain patch to try and see if he could get some relief.  He put it on for the first time last night, and he said he felt better right now but didn't know how long it would last.  We are thankful for a pain free morning.  This is very strong medication and I just pray it is the right thing for him.

Not much else is going on here, just waiting for the bitter cold weather to arrive, due to hurricane Sandy.  The wind and rain hits the East Coast and a front comes down from the north, and we get cold weather.  I guess it is about that time of year though.  Me, I like it....most don't.

Have a blessed day!

The Son of God became a man to enable men to become sons of God.

  1. Amen on loving God and each other! Great pictures of your fall festival. Praying the patch keeps working for Jim and he will have a lot of pain free hours. I like the colder weather too it is much better I think than triple digit heat. Stay warm and cozy and enjoy your day. Hugs

  2. Hi Linda! Love your photos, and looks like a fun Trunk or Treat!! Our church's picnic is today, with Trunk or Treat. We decided not to go. It is mostly for the kids. We've been every year, I think. Has more to do with Joe wanted to see the Eagles play, on TV, I think, but I really wasn't up for making a dessert AND a casserole to share. The church does burgers and hotdogs, and parishioners bring everything else. I'm so lazy sometimes, I'm ashamed!! We are enjoying wonderful weather right now. I hate that Sandy is headed for our friends on the east coast, including our sons in Philly and the DC area. Hope it stays east, more in the Atlantic, so the damage won't be too bad. Stay safe & warm, there in the beautiful state of Tennessee!

  3. It looks like a good turn-out for the church's fall festival party. It looked like fun. Popcorn! The doggy is so cute and I love that Noah's Ark. What clever ideas.
I hope the pain patch helps Jim. Saying a special prayer for him.
We're expecting the same weather here. We've been watching the weather channel and this storm is suppose to be "nothing like anyone has seen before". That's quite a statement. Keep warm. Have a good day.
