"RAINY DAYS AND MONDAY...."

"Talkin' to myself and feeling old.

Sometimes I'd like to quit;

Nothing ever seems to fit;

Hangin' around, nothing to do but frown;

Rainy days and Mondays always get me down"

.........the Carpenters

Yes, we do have a rainy day and it is Monday, but am not down.  The song just came to me as I started to write my blog this morning.  There really is "sonshine" in my heart!

Recap:  Sunday School and Worship with my precious granddaughter Grayce, and my church family.  Every time I go, some blessing appears.  Yesterday during worship, the gentleman that plays the trumpet, and the pianist played a duet - "It Is Well With My Soul".

After church, we rushed home, changed clothes and headed to a soccer scrimage game for Grayce.

The leaves on the trees are turning on top of the mountain...........where she played, and also lives.

One tree that I noticed, didnt have colored leaves yet, but there was definitely something different in the middle of it.........

This little guy climbed right up in the middle and had the best viewing sight of all!

This week isnt quite as busy as last, but Jim is having a nerve block in his back on Wednesday.  Please pray that it works and he can get some pain relief.  I know to a small degree how constant pain can affect you, and he has suffered for nearly two years.

Peace is more than the absence of conflict; peace is the presence of God.

  1. Good morning, Linda! Will Jim's procedure be like the ones you get? I just hope he gets relief from his pain. Grayce is such a lovely young lady! I love that you caught that boy in the tree! Made me chuckle! Glad you have a quieter week, this week. Rest when you can! Hugs & love!

  2. Terri, the nerve block will be totally different than the epidurals that I have. In those, they just inject steroid to decrease inflammation around the area, but in the block, it will totally block pain to those nerves. It isnt permanent tho...lasts hopefully 6 months or more, but no pain at all. We have our fingers crossed.
    I thought it was so cute of that little boy....so typical of them, and he was having so much fun! Hope your week is good...Hugs
