THE 300TH DAY OF 2012!

Good morning!  Wishing you a wonderful day!

56 days until winter begins

Mine yesterday wasn't so good.  Received some really distressing news about a family member.  The kind of news that only God above can handle.

On top of that, I went to Walgreens for a few needed items, and my check wouldn't go through.  Grrrrr....I knew I had money in my account, so told the cashier to hold my purchases and I called the bank.

Last week my checking account was hacked by some investment company in New Hampshire and I had already gone to bank about that and they took my debit card, cut it into and said they would send me another.  I had not received, so that is why I had written the check, and the bank had assured me I COULD continue to write checks until the card arrived.

I came home to check if debit card was in mailbox, and sure enough, it was.  While on the phone with the bank, my debit card was activated, I was told that I did of course, have money in the account and they didn't know why the check wouldn't go through.

So, I proceed to call the lady I dealt with at Walgreens and told her all that had transpired and I would be back within 30 minutes.  I did go, and the card did go, and all is well!

The employee was so patient and so very nice, that I got her name and am going to write Walgreens on her behalf.  That is a "thing" of mine...writing letters and giving praise where praise is due.

Thank you for your prayers for my health problem and for my dear friend Hazel.  The family is considering Hospice.  Sad.

The Bible is not the book of the month. It is the book of the ages.

  2. Good morning, Linda. Prayers continue for you, your family member and for your friend.

How awful that your bank account was compromised! I'm glad it has been taken care of, but sorry you had such a time getting your purchases made at Walgreens. I'm sure your letter of appreciation will be well received. You are so right to do that, because it does make a difference!

Hope your Thursday is a better day for you!

    Love & hugs!

  3. So sorry you got troubling news yesterday about a family member. God has it in His control.
I'm glad the bank got you all squared away. It's so frustrating to have problems like that, where you can't get your money out.
And the lady at Walgreen's... I'm glad she was so nice to you. A lot of cashiers aren't that way. She should be recognized for her service. The letter is a good thing. You are so sweet to want to do that for her.
Prayers for you and your family. God bless.

That is so awful that your bank account was hacked! I think it's great that you are going to write a letter to Walgreen with praise for the sale associate. Good customer service should be applauded! Have a good weekend! ((Hugs))
