Yes, it really is....sorry.  We have rain, rain and cold, cold this morning, but that's ok, cause my "ahhh chooo" is hanging on and I wont be going anywhere today.  You know when I miss church, I am sick.  I highly recommend Mucinex DM however.  It has really helped with that dreaded cough.  I was at least able to sleep last night.

Not sure where my daughter and family are on their Texas adventure, but she posted two pictures of the girls.........

I wonder what pictures I will get today!

I don't really have much to post today, so will just leave with a recipe that sounds really good and EASY!

Crockpot Corn Chowder
4 potatoes (peeled and diced)
1 Can of cream corn
1 Can of whole kernel corn
2 Cups of chicken broth
8 Ounces of diced ham(even good without this)
1 Cups of diced onions
1/4 Cup of butter
2 Cups of half and half
Place potatoes, both cans of corn, chicken broth, ham, and onions into the slow cooker. Cook on low for 7-8 hours. Mash the mixture to your desired consistency and then add the butter and half and half. Cook for an additional 30 minutes on high, and you are set.

  2. Your recipe sounds so good, I just may have to try it... maybe for my extended family (children & grandchildren) because Hubby won't eat corn. The rest of us like it.
The pictures of the girls are so cute. Looks like they are definitely having a good time.
I hope you get over that cold real soon. Take care.

  7. Just stopping by to say hope you're feeling better. One of my Spanish friends told me about a natual remedy for coughs that keep you awake at night. Cut an onion in half and place half near your bed. People tell me it works.

Other than Google+ because I really don't like Google+ and can't leave comments unless I sign up with them. I want to read about your life and what you are doing since you visit me so often. And I love to comment on my blogger friends' posts. I love the painting in the header.
