5 DAYS TIL FRIDAY!!!

It is easy for me to sit here and put this smiley face on my blog, because I am retired and really don't need to be motivated to get up and go.  My Mondays are pretty much the same these days.  But I can be your cheerleader if you DO have to go out to work.....God loves you, I love you, your family loves you, and we all want you to have a great day!  Now, finish that last cup of coffee, get those clothes on and hit the door running!

Our Thankful/Friend day was wonderful at church yesterday.  The music was fantastic, the message brought by the speaker was certainly needed and motivating.  We had dinner after morning service, and then came back together at 2 for a final worship of the day.  No service last night seemed like I was playing hooky!  lol

I did have a treat yesterday morning in Sunday School though!  We have a new family that has recently joined our church.  They are from West Africa, and it is a mother and her four children.  The mother is now in our class and she always brings her sweet baby!  He is 4 months old and just the cutest thing ever....I love having him sit next to me, and hearing his coos and giggles.   Love his shoes!!!

May I ask for prayers this morning?  When I had the epidural last week, the nurses as they took me to the car post op, made sure Jim knew that I needed to see my primary care doctor regarding irregular heartbeat.  I have had irregular heartbeat for years, but at their insistence, I made an appointment for today at 2:30.  I am going to also check on all my medicines that I take, and see if I can safely leave any off.   One that I use for controlling my blood sugar is $300.00+ per month if I had to pay full price.  I have been on a reduced drug plan for 7 years, but Uncle Sam has declared that I do not qualify any longer and I cannot pay that amount each month and afford the others I need.
So, am killing two birds with one stone, and discussing the heartbeat and medicines today.

Day #12 I am thankful for a good night's sleep.

  2. He certainly is a precious baby boy, and I do love the shoes. They have such cute things for babies! Prayers for you, Linda. Keep us posted!! I take medicine for atrial fibrillation. Thankfully, the medicine keeps it under control most of the time. It is worrisome, though. Hugs.

  3. Sounds like you had a great Sunday. * What a cute baby boy. I like his shoes too. I still like to roam through the baby dept. at the store. They have so many cute things that they didn't have when my girls were growing up. * Prayers for you. You hit on something that really makes me angry. Why some stranger, sitting in an office somewhere, has the right to determine what meds we get and which ones we "don't need"?? Grrrrrrr....

  5. You are in my prayers, Linda! Do you have a supplement to your medicare? My mom purchased one for $123 a month and when Medicare benefits run out, they bill her Blue Cross..it has helped her with the more expensive drugs that she takes.

    Have a wonderful week!

    1. Kris, I do have a supplement as well as a Part D policy. That is what has gone sky high, but as of yesterday, everything has been worked out by my sweet, caring doctor.

  6. Hope all went well with your epidural yesterday and I am late getting here!
    What a cute little boy.
Our church has a 25 year celebration service Sunday (we've been attending 24 years of that time flies lol) Funny thing Wednesday night the pastor who founded the church his son is an evangelist and will be preaching. I remember holding him on my lap as a small child then had him in my preschool Sunday school class. He was a little firecracker and grew up to be one in his preaching lol' Have a great day!
