I am listening to a CD called Rock of Ages and no, it isn't music from the current movie of the same name.  It is one of the best of Bill Gaither and Homecoming group.  In lieu of the outcome of the election, I am getting closer to my Lord and Savior because it cant be too much longer, saving the way the world is going these days, until He comes back to take his children home.  Nuf said.  The music is fantastic anyway.

Old on left, new on right (lamp
showing on desk..lol)

I plan on transferring my books on my old eReader Kindle to my new Kindle Fire HD today.  Don't know how long or even how, to do it, but I will work until I get it done.  Have decided to give my eReader only Kindle to my son.  He reads every day.  My grandchildren would use it for a week or two and then put it down and forget where it is.  My son wont!

The epidural worked and I am getting stronger with less pain every day.  I praise the Lord for medicine.

Day #8 - Today my gratitude goes to my 5 senses.  I can still see clearly, hear good, smell exceptionally well, feel things before they even touch me, and my taste is tooooo good!  God sure had a big job to do to create humans, and it never ceases to amaze me what He did.  Thank you God.

I don't know large your family is or if you like to cook something and share it with a friend or family member, but I found this on Pinterest last night and I plan on cooking it and will definitely have to share, because to me, it makes a gallon or more!

1 (15 oz) can black beans, drained and rinsed
1 (15 oz) can pinto beans, drained and rinsed
1 (l4.5 oz) can petite diced tomatoes, drained
1 (15.25 oz) can sweet corn, drained
1 (12.5 oz) can white chicken breast, drained
1 (10.75 oz) can cream of chicken soup
1 (10 oz) can green enchilada sauce
1 (14 oz.) can chicken broth
1 packet taco seasoning

Directions:
1.  Mix all ingredients together in a large pot.
2.  Heat until warm, stirring occasionally.
3.  Serve with tortilla chips.

NOW, how much easier could that be, even with all the ingredients.  LOVE EASY!

  1. Very cute about the newspapers!! Some truth there!

That soup sounds really good. I think I have all the ingredients except the enchilada sauce - wonder if it can be left out? Might give this a try tonight! Thanks for finding it!

The Gaithers are great! We do need to keep Christ alive in our hearts.

Have a good Friday Eve!! Hugs.

  2. I like that about the newspapers. That explains a lot. :)
So glad your shot is working and you're feeling so much better.
Not sure about that soup... I'm not crazy about all those beans. They don't like me. hahaha
I love the Gather's Homecoming album.
Except for the orange case, I could take a picture just like that. Right now I'm planning on keeping my old Kindle.
As for transferring your books, it is rather easy. The bad part is having to do each book separately. I removed all my books from the old one (remove from device) which puts it in Amazon's Cloud, where they stay for you permanently. Then go to your Kindle Fire and press 'books' in the top menu, then press 'cloud'. All your books should be there where you can download onto the Fire. If you don't want to download them all, again each one separately, it can stay in the Cloud for retrieving later.
    Have a great day. {{hugs}}

  3. Thanks so much for the transfer info. I have been working on it all morning. I am giving my old one to my son, and he is "chomping at the bit" for me to get it ready for him...lol
I know what you mean about all those beans, so I will be giving away 75% of it for sure...for just the two of us, dont need much. Hope your Thursday is a good one my new friend!
