I started to title my blog today, may the best man win, but to be honest, I am not sure he will. Politics have changed from back when I turned 21 and could vote. It was fun, a privilege that I cherished, but today that isn't the case. The media has totally ruined it. All I can do now is pray that God will intervene and that the best man overall, will win. I don't think our country can take 4 more years of what we have now, and I am definitely against Socialism. Now you know who I have voted for, and hope we can still be friends.
Moving on............
I posted on Facebook last night and some of you are friends there, but some are not. I did have the epidural in fact, I had two shots in my back. As I am allergic to IVP dye (in case you know what that is..lol), they also put Benadryl in my IV, so that coupled with the other meds, I was loopy for sure. Jim had to help me get into the back door, along with a walking stick. I went straight to bed and slept until 5. When I woke up, I was in much better shape.
This morning I am still a little wobbly, but my back and leg doesn't hurt like before, so thank you God and thank you Dr. Lowry. He came to see me in the holding area right before they took me in to surgery room, and I told him I wanted a double dose because the holidays were coming on, and I needed to be able to go to basketball games and soccer games this winter. He said, do you play? lol I am 4'11 inches tall and 71 years old. He is 6'5! So, maybe he did give me a double dose!!!
No other plans this week, but who knows what will come up....I will be ready.
Day #6 I am thankful that God created animals. My cat Cali is so loving. When I came in yesterday and "fell" into bed, she came and first meow'd, but then settled right beside me and stayed there until I woke up at 5 pm. They seem to love unconditionally and have a sense that they can comfort us when we need it.
I'm sure Cali understood and helped you to heal! Ours do too. Our pets are just amazing.
ReplyDeleteI voted last month, and make no secret that I am a conservative. All we can do is pray that the path we are on to socialism can be changed before it's too late. I don't want 85% of my earnings going to the government to pay for handouts. Enough said.
Hope you continue to feel even better today, Linda!!
I know we are on the same page as far as a President is concerned, but it really worries me to a degree, that people will watch and listen to the media and vote based on that, rather than their own knowledge and convictions. Again Terri, I appreciate your prayers and your caring. Time is flying by and I want and need to be able to go and do for those I love and care about.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're feeling better today. Poor little Cali... she knew you needed some comforting and sensed you weren't feeling so good. They are amazing. I miss mine.
ReplyDeleteI agree with what you're saying about our political situation. I feel the same way, as I'm sure you know by now. It worries me too. We're going to vote today. Small town.. no lines. I'm glad about that. But I'm not sure I want to have the tv on today. "They" are even using the weather to predict who will win.
You take care. God's blessings on you.
I know what you mean about using this or that to predict the outcome of the race....ridiculous. Count the votes and forget the "swing" states, forget the voting by email....whats that about...and just count the real, honest votes. I will definitely be watching the channels tonight that DONT follow the polls. When I wake up in the morning, it will be what it will be, whether I watch and get all worked up or not....lol But I did vote and that is what matters to me.
ReplyDeleteI hope the double dose will get you through the holidays in good order Linda!
ReplyDeleteI'm right with you in regard to the Presidential race. I agree another 4 years like this and I'm afraid of what will be left of us.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're feeling better, our pets truly are gifts of comfort from God.
I've spent some time reading over posts I've missed, though I'm a bit behind, I'm going to try to join you all in the thankfulness posts. I've enjoyed reading yours. Great reminders of all our blessings.
Keeping you in my prayers Linda...so glad that you woke up feeling better! I agree with you about our animals..they love unconditionally and I can't imagine my life without them!
