One more day and I visit my doctor to see if and/or what, can be done to give me some relief from this pain.  I am really tired of being sick and tired.  I almost feel as if I am being punished, having to sit or lie down, can't drive, can't even walk to the mailbox.  That isn't me.  I have always been able to go and do when I wanted to, and now I can't.

Moving on.......

I found these on Pinterest and wondered how many of my friends remember them....

My Grandmother had drawers full
of green stamps, and it was fun
choosing something to get with them!

The new white boards have totally done
away with chalk boards.

My Aunt had two of these, made
from her own silver pattern.  Now
one of my daughters has them.

Oh yes, Ms. Beasley came
to our house one Christmas for
my Jennifer!

Yesterday I mentioned that I would be opening my blessings jar for 2012.  Here are a few that were in there....

Blessings from my jar for 2012…………

Jesse (4 years old) caught 5 fish last night.

Caroline (6 years old) was telling me a tale and said “it was a conumdrum”.  Smart little girl.

On the way to cross country with Grayce, (10 years old) she said “I’m gonna pray now Nana (in other words, be quiet!)………and did.”  Thank you Lord.

Aryn scored 24 points against Ridgeland (basketball).  The final was 35-24..she scored as many as the entire other team scored.

The Days are long but the years are short!

  1. My prayers continue for you! I can only imagine how hard this is for you. I hope you get some answers when you see your doctor. ((Hugs)). I loved reading the blessings from your blessing jar! My favorite was when your granddaughter told you she was going to pray...So sweet!! My sister had a Ms. Beasley doll! She kept it on her bed and when she wasn't home I would sneak it off with it and play for hours..haha. Have a wonderful Wednesday, Linda!

  2. Yes, you remain in my prayers, too, Linda. Sure hope the doctor has some answers for you! Will you get the MRI tomorrow, or is that another appointment?

Those are great blessings, for sure! I remember you writing about a few of them. What a great idea!

Yes, we saved green stamps, too! It was fun to "spend", especially when you had several books full!

Mrs. Beasley was after my time. I had Tiny Tears.

The spoon rings are really nice. I have a Pinterest post with directions on how to make them. Just need to stop in one of the antique stores and find a couple of lonely spoons for cheap!

Take care, and please let us know how tomorrow goes! Hugs & love!

  3. You are still in my prayers. Hopefully your doctor will have some answers. It has to be so frustrating not to be able to do the things you want. Please keep us informed on what happens.
I remember those stamps clearly. I used to help Mom lick them and put them in the books but the choice of what to get with them was always her's. It was always something that she needed.
I used to have a spoon ring, but I'd forgotten all about it. I don't know what happened to it. :(
You take care and I'll be praying for you tomorrow. (((hugs)))
