The Lady Eagles won!!!  Aryn had 18 points, 9 rebounds, and 9 steals.  On top of that, the head coach from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga was sitting on the front row to see the game.  One never knows when a college coach will see someone that they are interested in for the future.  Aryn happens to know this coach, and she said it made her so nervous to play in front of him.  We told her in the case of the game last night, nervous was good.....lol  The game was a nail biter and went into overtime.

Today will work on the menus for my son's business.  For those that don't know, he has a concessions trailer and has recently moved to a new site....

Our class meeting yesterday was so much fun, good food, good fellowship and our Pastor's wife brought the devotion and it was about joy in our lives.  There is a difference in joy and happiness.

Joy is defined as one of the fruits of the spirit in Galatians 5:22. Since it takes a rather long growing process for a tree to develop ripe fruit, Christians take the Bible to imply that joy is something that must mature.  We can choose to be happy, but we cant choose to have joy....that takes time and work.

Joy is the feeling of grinning inside.

  1. I agree that joy takes time, but maybe it just takes time to learn what joy feels like.

Congrats to Aryn and her team! Fantastic! I'm sure the coach is watching her for a good reason!

You know, Food Trucks have become very popular down here in Florida. There are Food Truck Rallies nearly every weekend, around here, and there is always at least one food truck at Lakeland's weekly Farmers' Market on Saturdays. I think your son is doing his thing at a good time for Food Trucks. His menu sounds really good!

Wishing you a good day, Linda!! Love & hugs.

  2. Congratulations to Aryn and her team. Knowing there was a scout in the audience would be very nerve-wracking. But that's amazing. Wishing her only the best.
I'd definitely try your son's food if I could. I'll take the bar-b-que sandwich. Love them. Hope his new location is a big success.
I like what you said about joy. Our pastor spoke on that subject several times. "Joy is the feeling of grinning inside" -- that's a good description.
    Have a great day.
