Miss Cali is saying, "turn that camera off, I am napping"! That is what I will be doing later today.
Jim went to the hospital last night for a sleep study and I am waiting for his call to go get him. I had set my alarm clock for 6, woke up at 4:30, got up at 5. I have had my 2 cups of coffee, and no call yet.
I am beginning to find things on this new computer. Does anyone have Windows 8? I cant find where to set up folders for pictures, documents, etc. but did manage to get the Magic Jack plugged into the computer and it is working again. That is one I can mark off the list. I also like the "start" page over the desktop on the Windows 7. Some good things, some I wish I had back, but I love gadgets and this is one big one!
My son called last night to ask if I could print more menus for his business. His concessions trailer is less than a city block from the entrance to a KOA, and he is the only food available, other than the gas station, where you can get crackers out of a machine. He is wanting to print specific menus to take to them, giving discounts if staying at the KOA. Also, the entrance to the ONLY drive in theater in our entire area is about a block in the opposite direction. He is hoping that those two places will supply business, especially in the spring and summer months.
Church was good last night, but I was so tired, I fear I didn't get as much as I should have, out of the Pastor's message. It was on true vs counterfeit wisdom from James 3:13-18.
Real wisdom: pure, peaceable, gentle, full of mercy (second chances), good fruits, without partiality, without hypocrisy, right relationship with Christ.
Counterfeit wisdom: earthly, sensual, devilish, envy, strife, confusion, jealousy, fake, wrong motives.
Maybe I did get more than I thought....lol This entire month, the Pastor is bringing messages on the home, marriages, rearing our children right, and love.
Enjoy your Thursday!
Good (early!) morning, Linda! By now you may even be home, after picking Jim up at the hospital. Joe went for a sleep test, and they couldn't get results because he didn't sleep. He said "how can you sleep with all those wires all over your body?!". The people at the sleep center were very frustrated with him...LOL. Hope Jim's went better. It does appear that you got more from the sermon than you thought you did. The Good Word seeps into us, even when we aren't paying attention, and that is a good thing! Glad you are catching on, on your new computer!
ReplyDeleteTerri, the very same thing happened last night to Jim...he couldn't sleep, and they said the dr. office would call and tell him what is next. He was worn out, but they have a job going, and he had to go check on it. I was afraid for him to drive, and offered to take him, but no...he would go and nap in his truck. MEN!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI've often wondered how many people can't sleep for those sleep studies. It's hard enough sleeping in a strange bed, in a strange place, but yes...with wires etc. too? I don't think I'd be a good subject either.
ReplyDeleteI don't have Win 8. Sorry. I haven't even seen it yet. I was afraid they were going to make several changes to their OS.
ReplyDeleteWow! It sounds like your son is going to have a busy year, with a location like that. It should be very good. I wish him the best.
