WEDNESDAY!

Don't you get tired of hearing all the bad news on the radio or television?  It seems like every day, it is worse than the day before.  I would like to just turn it on one time, one day, and hear some good, uplifting news.  Surely there is good in the world to report.

Good morning my blogging friends.  I hope your day is going to be a productive one and by nighttime, you can say well done.  For me today is about the same.  We had some flurries overnight and some of the schools in our area are either closed or on delay.  I probably wont be going anywhere, but can thank my Lord for at least giving me another day on His earth.  Church tonight and I always look forward to gathering with my brothers and sisters in Christ, to praise and worship Him, and get a new lesson from His book to help me live my life.

I tried the "Popeye's Copycat Biscuits", and they were yummy.  I will definitely be making them again.  My blog friend had the recipe on her site, but I know some of you aren't on her blog list, so am repeating the recipe here:

POPEYE'S BISCUITS

4 c. biscuit mix
8 oz. sour cream
3/4 c. club soda

Mix all together and turn out onto lightly floured wax paper and pat out with hand (too sticky to use rolling pin). Cut with biscuit cutter. Place in pan.
Melt 1/2 stick butter and pour 1/2 over biscuits before you bake. Brush remainder over them as soon as they come out of the oven. Bake at 400 degrees to desired brownness. Makes 18 biscuits. Half of this recipe is plenty for a couple or small family.

I used a sprite, and will be making them again.  Thought I might try them out on my Sunday School Class at the next class meeting.

I guess when I say nothing else is new and I have nothing more to write about, I should be thankful.  At least I am alive, my family is all well, I have a roof over my head, and food to eat.  Not much more do I need.  I really try not to worry about things, but sometimes find myself still fretting over something, so this is my new mantra....it is on the bulletin board right beside my desk and computer----------

  1. I have gotten pretty good at not worrying about things. Worry does nothing to make anything better! Give it to God and trust Him for the outcome. It's getting easier and easier!

The biscuits sound yummy! I may have to give them a try! I always forget to check the tabs on my friends' pages. I need to start looking at recipe tabs, especially!

    Wishing you a wonderful Wednesday!

  3. Wonder if someone would start a "good news" TV network if if would go over. Wish someone would try.

  4. I've gotten to that point too.... all we hear is bad news, stuff to make us worry. But the only one I'm hurting is me. So I have to keep telling myself... God has it all in His control.
I like Patti's idea.... a good news network.
