I had such a good time with my daughter and one of my granddaughters yesterday. Jim doesn't like chicken, so when she asked where I wanted to eat, I said anywhere that has chicken! She works from home, and only had an hour for lunch, so we went to the foot of the mountain and ate at Zaxby's. It was so good and after we finished there, we went to a new yogurt place in the Walmart shopping center. It is called 'Cocoaberry', and talk about good....WOW. You first pick up your cup, and you put a cone in or not, then you choose from many, many flavors and you put it in your cup, then you go to the 'toppings' bar and put as many or as few as you want. Then you take your cup to the check-out, they weight it, and you pay by the pound.
I was conservative and had just white chocolate mousse with no toppings or cone and it was like eating a dream. My daughter and granddaughter were a bit more dangerous and got all the 'stuff'. It was a real treat for me to be with them, and get a break. On top of it all, the sun was shining.
My son had a catering job yesterday for Crie-Lieke Realty. One of his best friends is a realtor and his office had moved to a new location and they had an open house and the job was for 300+ people. It couldn't have come at a better time......1) Murphy needed the work, and 2) the sun was shining. It was a success and they are having another open house in October and asked him to do that one too! Praise the Lord for answered prayer.
I didn't sleep a solid hour last night for some reason, so my plans today include a nap and maybe take a nap later on, and then lastly, a nap this evening! Enjoy your day, and if you need to, maybe take a nap yourself! LOL
A beautiful and fun-filled day for you. How wonderful and blessed the day was!
ReplyDeleteSo happy to read about your son's catering job on Thursday. Thank You Lord as You continue to take care of Your children.
Hugs,
Jackie
I am thrilled to hear Murphy got the catering job! Hopefully some of those 300+ people will help spread the word. Praise God!
ReplyDeleteSorry you had a sleepless night. Get those naps in today, for sure!
Zaxby's is quite good! We have been to one of two here in Lakeland. The yogurt place sounds wonderful, and I know it was all sweeter because of your daughter and granddaughter being with you!
Wishing you a good weekend, Linda! Love & hugs.
Yes, all the good people are a little bit crazy. I know I am, more so at times. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you had a good time with your daughter and gr-daughter. The yogurt bar would be such a treat. I love yogurt and I'd have a good time "loading up".
What a blessing for your son. The word is spreading about his business so I'm praying more jobs will come in soon.
You enjoy those naps today and have a good weekend. ♥
I love those frozen yogurt places. Sounds like a fun day.
ReplyDeleteI am so happy that you had a good day. I think you needed that and we all do at times in our lives. I think you son needs to promote his catering side more. Birthday parties, celebrations, weddings, graduations, open houses etc. Good food and good service and word will get around. Your dinner and yogurt treat sound great...we don't have either of those places near here.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you had a day out and about - I'm sure you needed a break.
ReplyDeleteI had my nap today - it's so warm and humid here I couldn't help myself.
Glad to hear you had a great day out!
ReplyDeleteI took about an hour nap, then got ready to go to a viewing (our neighbor of 50 years, passed away after being in ICU for a month) We got there early, we didn't know how long the line might be, and our one daughter wanted to take us out to eat since it was our 58th. Anniversary, then we came back home and had ice cream and cake (which another daughter had ordered to surprise us). Naps are always nice. I almost took one today. But was able to manage not to, so that means I will probably fall asleep on the sofa about 9pm. enjoy those naps, they do refresh the mind and body.
ReplyDeleteAlso that yogurt sound delicious, and I'm afraid I would have wanted to try all the topping, or at least most of them. LOL
ReplyDeleteSo happy that you had a great time with your daughter at lunch! The yogurt place sounds so yummy! I wish we had one near us. That is such great news about your son getting a catering job and another one down the road! God is so GOOD!
