In the meantime, I will share a neat place to eat. It is called the Cookie Jar and it is in Dunlap, Tennessee. It is out in a huge field with cattle and sheep and ducks and horses grazing all around. It is on the top of a little hill, and you can look down and around and have beautiful scenery while you eat 'good home cooking'.
One last thing for this Thursday. With all the heavy rain and flooding we have had this summer, you KNOW the mosquitoes are going to be horrific. I found a way to help with that problem.......VICKS VAPORUB!
Apply small dabs of Vicks VapoRub to your skin and clothes and mosquitoes will steer clear. If you do get bitten, apply Vicks to the area and cover it with a Band-Aid to relieve itching.
Have a super day!
Good morning Linda that little restaurant looks so sweet . I love those kinds of places.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the hints too!
Hope you have a great Thursday!
I would love to eat in a little restaurant like that. Maybe, if I ever get down that way again and if I can remember I will try it. I needed that Vick's Vapor Rub remedy last week when somehow I got eaten up with mosquito bites...especially on my ankles and bottom of my feet! I will remember for next time. Have a good day.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a great place to eat. And I love the cookie jars on the shelves. I love cookie jars. If I ever get down that way again, I'm going to look for that place. Thanks for sharing that, Linda.
ReplyDeleteI've read about the Vicks but I've not tried it yet. So far we haven't had the mosquito problem yet but I know they're coming soon.
Whatever you've decided to do today, I hope you have a good time. Getting away and having some time to yourself sounds like a good idea. Just leave your worries on the door step. ♥
I love all of those cookie jars; what a neat place, Linda. Thank you for the video.
ReplyDeleteHoping that your upcoming weekend is a beautiful one, and sending you and Jim lots of love and continued prayers.
Love,
Jackie
I need to try that with vicks.
ReplyDeleteYou have made me super hungry for good home cookin'!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea with the Vicks.
I'm late checking in today, Linda. Hope you got to get out and had some fun shopping while the therapist was with Jim. Next time we are in your area, that would be a very fun place to see and try! Help me remember it. Maybe you will be able to join us next time! Mosquitoes find me if I step outside, so I do my best to stay in during mosquito season. They are terrible here, with water everywhere! Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip about the Vicks!
ReplyDeleteMy husband would love that restaurant but it is a bit further for us to drive than you. Good tip about the Vicks. We will try that cuz we definitely have the mosquitoes with the wooden area behind us.
ReplyDeleteOh, I would love to eat there. The place is sparkling clean and the scenery is gorgeous. I am a real animal lover so I would enjoy the animals and I also love farms. That food looked delicious. I am a Vicks user for many things for my whole life. I would be hard pressed to do without it. :) Hugs
ReplyDeleteWhatever you choose to do, I hope your day is great
ReplyDeleteHi Linda! The Cookie Jar looks like a great restaurant! I love their collection of cookie jars! I don't think there was a cookie jar made that they don't have..lol. Thanks for the mosquitoes tip! Michigan has its own share of mosquitoes and it seems worst this year that in the past.
