It is so good to hear the young ones talk about what fun they had, how much they like their school, teachers, etc. It sure brings back memories for when my 3 were still in school and how they looked forward to getting back and seeing their friends of course.
Caroline, 2nd grade, brand new HUGE school, said she loved riding the bus, the teacher, the classroom, the lunchroom, but the playground was better at her old school! lol
Grayce, 6th grade, moved from elementary to Middle School, which is one part of the high school, and again HUGE. She was tired, and said 'can I go back to elementary school'? I am not used to changing classes, and I couldn't get my locker open and was nervous! A teacher came to her rescue!
Rayven, 9th grade, moved to a new school across town. It is an older school, 3 stories high, but she said she loved it. Ate lunch with some new girls, had her English teacher already praise her for the work she did. I asked what story was her locker on and she said 2nd floor. I told her she would be so skinny we couldn't be able to see her if she turned sideways....she loved that idea!
Aryn, 10th grade, went back to her high school and was excited to see all her friends, liked her teachers, got all the classes she wanted, so she is one happy girl!
Poor little Jesse got sick, running fever and sore throat and didn't get to go this morning, but my DIL went and talked to the teacher and he can go 3 days next week, and will have the weekend to get over whatever it is!
Elizabeth doesn't go for her first day in K-5 until 8-14, so she has some free time left.
I am feeling 100% today but Jim is really really low. He is supposed to have physical therapy but the therapist hasn't called or come as yet. Hope he can manage to do the program.
I know everyone is ready for the weekend, so enjoy!
I missed what trouble you had going on, but I'm glad you're better. I hope Jim also feels better soon.
ReplyDeleteI loved hearing about all the grands and their first day back....cute background.
I thought I was having a heart attack and was rushed via ambulance to hospital. It turned out good - heart in good shape, just stress and anxiety.
DeleteSounds like most got off to a good new school year start!
ReplyDeleteSchool is always an exciting experience...I can't wait to go back!
ReplyDeleteIt's good to hear about the grandkids and their first days back to school. It was always an exciting, but scary, time of my life. The unknown.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you're feeling better. I hope Jim got his PT and feels better. I'm sure he's worried about you.
God bless you both. ♥
Awesome news about the grands. I like reading about everyones kids and grandkids. I am sorry about your husband. My husbands suffers from alot of stuff (stroke-5 yrs ago, short term memory loss 9loss of sleep and stroke), sleep apena, deg dis) and the dr. asked him about depression. Like, I wanted to choke the dr. like, duh, ya think! I swear, these dr.'s. ANYWAYS--TMI. I know, sorry about that.
ReplyDeleteSorry, I hit enter to soon. I pray that Jim feels better. I also pray for you, as his caregiver (and his as yours). Blessings
