P. S.

Hello to all.   You have to love the stirrup pants, high heels, with the hair dyer on her head and washing dishes.  I don't remember ever doing it just that way, do you?

Back from the doctor and got a good report.  He knew almost immediately that I was under a great deal of stress and we talked about it for a bit.  He did give me a prescription for something I had taken years ago, and wants me to stay on it. They of course drew blood and he sends the results to me, with suggestions if anything needs changing.  I love my doctor!

Got home and ran to Walmart to get a 'Magic Jack' for my daughter in law.  Her birthday is today and they both have cell phones, but they wont work very well inside the house.  We have had our 'Magic Jack' for over a year now and are happy with it, so we got one for her.  She seemed pleased.

While I was at Walmart, Jim took a shower and got dressed and we headed out to Fairmount Orchard on Signal Mtn., to get my annual supply of their cider.  Also got some apple butter sweetened with cider, not sugar.  I plan to give it to my Sunday School teacher.

Got another interesting postcard.  It came from Dallas, Texas, but it is an antique card showing the Grand Tetons in Wyoming.  She said she hoped I liked the card as she had pulled it from her grandparents collection, who both had died when she was very young, so it is a true antique.  It is a picture of the Grand Tetons in Wyoming.  She asked if I had been there and yes, I have and they are amazing to look upon.

Church tonight, so for the remainder of the afternoon,

I am going to ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!

  1. We all love apple cider & apple butter. Have you ever been to the Apple Barn in Sevierville/Pigeon Forge? If not, you must:)-- I am glad the dr visit went ok. I had looked at the Magic Jack, not sure how it works. The post card is very pretty. Blessings

    1. Oh yes, we love the Apple Barn. There is nothing to the Magic Jack...you can either plug it in to your computer or not. It picks a # for you, and you are ready. Free long distance, caller ID, messages all for 19.95 a YEAR. It isnt perfect, but for the price, it is well worth it.

  3. I have even been to the Apple Barn in Sevierville! A couple of times, actually. I miss the apple orchards. That is the one thing I truly miss about "up north". Just can't get good apples down here.

How wonderful that your postcrossing friend shared an antique post card from her grandparents' collection. Very special. So glad you appointment was a good one. It is so nice to have a doctor you trust and like!

I know you will enjoy worship tonight! Hope the nap was good and that you have a restful night!

The antique card that you got is beautiful. What a treasure it is to have it and for her to share it with you. Lovely friends, you have, Linda.
It's almost cider time for us, too. We travel north to the mountains to get it, and I can't wait!!! Ummmm.
Sending you both hugs and much love,

  6. I wish we could grow apples here in SE Georgia, but it's way too hot here. Apples are one of my favorite foods. [yum]

  7. In my opinion, that's my favorite post card so far. I love the fact it's antique - something about antique post cards is just cool! My husband spent his high school years in Teton Valley and I've been there twice. It is beautiful country!
