I remember that day, do you?  Where were you and what were you doing?

I was at work in the insurance office, had my radio on and heard the announcer say a building in NY had been hit.  I jumped up and went into my boss's office and turned on his TV.....he, another worker and I sat there and watched the whole thing.  Not a word was spoken and we felt numb.  For the rest of the day, very little was said or done.  In fact, our boss closed the office early.

GOD, PLEASE BLESS AMERICA!

  1. Sad day indeed. I/we would like to visit the site, unfort. it is to expensive, yes, I know it is only a 5 hr drive..anyways..where was I or what was I doing? I was getting Liam around for dayschool and hubby came home from the midnight shift and told me to turn on the tv as something horrible had happened (remember, we were on central time.) Sad day..I can not watch it on tv..just makes me cry (and mad). The VFW is holding a nice tribute tonight. My heart and prayers going out to the lives lost.

  2. Yes, it's like never forgetting where you were with President Kennedy was shot. I was also at work, and one of the art teachers came running into the administrative offices and told us to turn on the TV (also in the boss's office). We were all numb and scared, knowing nothing would ever be the same again and fearing what may result from the attack.

Hope you are able to get to church tonight, Linda. I know how it feeds you. Have a good day!

  3. Hi Linda! I do remember that day. I didn't see the first assault, but I had the TV on for the second plane hit. I remember thinking I was in a dream or something.

I will be flying my flag today, hoping to 'never forget'. Never forget how fortunate I am to live here, and to pray for all the souls and families that were affected.

  4. I remember that day very clearly. I was at work at the real estate office when a friend came through the door like the building was on fire. I turned on the TV and we all stood there watching the 2nd plane hit the building. We knew then it was not an airplane accident. We just stood there in shock. No one said a word. We watched as people were running everywhere, covered in dust. That's when we all started to cry. I couldn't believe this was actually happening.
I went back to my desk and called my hubby. He didn't want to believe what I was saying, until he turned on our TV. The phone line was quiet as he watched it too.
    May we NEVER FORGET.

  5. How could anyone our age forget that day!? No way. I was drugged up to the hilt, in bed, recovering from my second Carpal Tunnel Syndrome surgery. Hubby had to tell me several times what was going on. It didn't seem real. All those people, all that waste of lives, simply because of the insanity of a satanic political system going under the guise of religion that focused in on US. So sad and so unneccesary. We as Christians need to keep praying for, and sending missionaries to, the Muslims. They are heading towards damnation. Trusting their eternal salvation to a man-made lie.

  6. Hello, I am your newest follower. 9-11-2001 was a truly unforgettable day. It is still hard for me to look at the images of that day. We should never forget. God bless America!
