IT WONT BE LONG NOW!

............until we will be doing the same as the title picture.......reading, drinking hot chocolate or coffee, and covering up with the blanket.  I love it!  With my Kindle, I always have many books to choose from, and already have the hot chocolate on hand, and you KNOW the coffee is here.

Many of you are outdoor people, and love being outside, thus you enjoy summer the most.  Me, I am an indoor gal and that is why I enjoy fall and winter.  All of the above in front of a fire in the fire pit or fireplace is my love. I always wanted to have that log cabin in the North Carolina mountains, to enjoy the cold, snow and beautiful scenery.  Goodness, just typing that makes me long for it.

What causes the phenomenon of fall foliage?

The brilliance of color, or lack thereof, in any given fall season is influenced by several factors, including each plant's genetic makeup. Red maples, oaks, burning bushes, and ashes produce the most stunning colors. Cool, sunny fall days are best for foliage color, but conditions early in the growing season also have an effect. Hot, dry spring weather is usually not good, nor is excessive moisture in early spring.

Lord, I’m so thankful that no matter where
we are, we can serve You. Help me to reflect
Your image in my current situation.
Write your plans in pencil and remember that God has the eraser.

  1. "Write your plans in pencil, God has the eraser" is a quote I've seen twice today. Once on FB earlier and now on your blog. Think I'll make no plans...then God can lead me in the right direction!!! Have a great day!!

  2. I'm now an indoor person too. I used to spend most of my time outside but now that I'm an old lady, things change. I love the fall colors. It has always amazed me how beautiful they are. I love your quote about God having the eraser. I'm sure He's used it alot on me.

    1. He has certainly used it a lot on me too. I used to love laying out in the sun, going to the beach, etc, but I have done a 360 and dont like being hot!

  5. I really like Fall - but I dread winter, so it casts a little pall over the season.
    Glad you're enjoying it!
