I know the kiddies are all excited about dressing up and going from house to house to get goodies, but I have to confess, this has never been my favorite holiday, both as a child and as an adult. But for those who do like it, be safe and have fun.
I was able to go to church last night and it was so good to be back, hear the Word spoken, and see friends and worship together. God is good.
Good Morning Linda! So glad you made it to church last night. Nice to see you posting. Have a blessed day.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit that I've never liked it either. I decorate my house with Fall things, no witches or ghosts. I do enjoy seeing the little kids dressed up, but that's about it!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about this "holiday". I've had trouble with it and its original background. I've always told my girls and now my grandchildren that it's not a celebration of witches and ghosts for us. Being Christians, we must be careful with what we believe.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you felt good enough to go to church last night. You have a good day.
Linda, I loved it as a kid and have good memories of walking the neighborhood with my little brother and my dad. I do not enjoy it now, so we just leave our lights off and if the doorbell rings anyway, we ignore it. There are too many older kids out and it isn't fun anymore. Bah humbug!! LOL
ReplyDeleteSo glad you got to church last night! I know how it feeds your soul! God is good!!
