PRE-OP

Anything that needs doing, needs to be done today. Tomorrow I will be one-handed!  If you can, please remember me and the surgeon.  I will be fine, just want him to be fine too!

Our Missions Conference is in full swing.  The National Missionaries gave testimonies, sang in their native languages and visited the Sunday School classes.  We had a gentleman from Mexico and another from Bangladesh in our class.  It is so interesting to hear their stories, and to realize they are just like we are - loving the Lord and anxious to tell others about Him. They are married, have families, love their country as we love ours.

Today my Sunday School class is cooking and serving lunch for them.  We chose soup and chili and desserts. The temperature this morning is 40 degrees, so the hot soup should 'hit the spot'. These men are from countries that are usually very hot, so this may seem like the Arctic to them!

I leave you this morning, wishing you sunshine and a happy day!

Perhaps today did not start out well for you. Maybe you face a host of trouble that threatens to turn this into a day of despair. Turn your attention to Jesus. Review what He did for you at Calvary and how He conquered death by His resurrection.

Living, He loved me; dying, He saved me;
Buried, He carried my sins far away;
Rising, He justified freely forever;
One day He’s coming—O glorious day!

When life gets too hard to stand --- kneel!

  3. I'll keep you in my prayers and ask for a quick recovery. I know this sounds terrible, but I can't remember what you are having surgery for, apparently it has something to do with your hand or arm, since you said you will be one handed for a while. Good luck. Speedy recovery.
