ZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzz

I think I might have slept 2-3 hours last night and I feel blahhhhh this morning.  I tossed and turned and got up and down until I was literally exhausted, but couldn't go to sleep. Nothing wrong that I know of, just one of those nights and I am so tired this morning.

Cali doesn't look like she had trouble sleeping, does she? She snuggled up to my UT blanket, in my recliner, and was 'sawing logs' when I took this picture.

I think maybe me having the epidural on Monday, then taking Jim to the doctor's office on Tuesday, and taking him for his procedure at the hospital all day on Wednesday, then buying groceries, laundry yesterday, may be why I am 'out of sorts'!

Was standing outside for a breath of air yesterday and looked up into one of the pear trees in the back yard and this is what I saw.........

Do you see the one lone red leaf?  Yes, that really is what it is.  At first I thought it was a bird but the longer I stood there, I saw it was a leaf that has turned.  It wont be long at all until the whole tree is that color.

My granddaughter Aryn's volleyball team won their district last night, which means that the tournament for regions will be at their school beginning next week.  If they win, they would go on to State.  She is the one in the middle with the white shirt that has '00' on it.  She plays the position of Libero, who not only needs to dig well, but on broken plays they can be called upon to set the ball as well.  That player wears a different uniform as well.

The 277th day of 2013
78 days until winter begins

Think back on your own life. Most likely, the times you have grown the most are those when you were going through sorrow, pressure, or trouble. Isn’t that true?

Somebody penned these lines:

I walked a mile with pleasure,
She chatted all the way.
It left me none the wiser,
For all she had to say.

I walked a mile with sorrow,
And ne’re a word said she.
But oh, the things I learned from her,
When sorrow walked with me.

Romans 8:18 tells us, “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”

  2. Oh I just hate nights like that. Usually I go to bed at 10 and wake up at 6. I sleep like a baby all night. But when I don't it gets ugly. Hope you get a chance for a couple of naps today to catch up!!!

  4. You're just wore out from surgery and earthly concerns (we all have them). I pray y'all can have a easy night tonight. I have a glass of wine before bedtime and make sure the house is cool and quiet. That's what helps me. Prayers for your rapid healing and a good night's rest.

  5. Nights like that do take their tole. I hope you were able to catch a nap today, and will have a restful weekend! I thought it was a cardinal in the tree, too, until you said it was a leaf and I look more closely. Congrats to Aryn's team! Keep us posted on the tournament results, please!

  6. With all you've been through the last several days, I can understand how you'd out of sorts. I hope you can relax and sleep well tonight.
That one lone bright red leaf sure stands out like a red flag. Pretty.
Congratulations to Aryn and the team. Let us know how they do in the tournament.
