SPECIAL DAY!

My son and I go today to blow the glass Christmas ornament.  I am excited, not only for the event, but to be spending time with him. Pictures to come.

I did find a coat and a super good deal to boot!  I went to my favorite store, IF I have to shop, and they were having a 50% off sale.  I actually bought a $130.00 coat for $24.99.  I kept asking the cashier if she was sure that was the right price and she said it definitely was.  I have a 'special discount' card from the store, and that along with the sale price, gave me just what I wanted. Amazing how things work out!

Tonight, basketball season begins for my granddaughter, Aryn. Be prepared in the next few days, weeks and months, to be bored with what she and the team does and how Jim and I make it to every game.  She is an awesome player and thankfully, she loves the game.  She is a competitor in every thing she does.  She started playing basketball in the third grade and hasn't let up since.  The picture below is her with the ball, in the 6th grade. She has grown quite a bit in the last 4 years.

Another thing you will probably hear me talking about a lot in these fall and winter months, is our ride through Chickamauga Battlefield, which is a 5,200 acre Military National Park.  We love the peacefulness as well as love seeing the deer and turkeys. They are free to roam and be protected.  Last night was the beginning of many rides to come, and we saw 25 deer, does and fawns everywhere.

39 days until winter begins
