(I do not know the child nor the dog but just loved the picture!)
The best of all gifts around any Christmas tree:
the presence of a happy family
all wrapped up in each other!
Good Tuesday morning! We are warming up here and I heard one of the TV weathermen say yesterday something about reaching the '70's'. That is not Christmas weather....period.
We called the doctor again yesterday as Jim was really not any better and he felt he was worse. The doctor's nurse called and said for him to come to office. We did and the first thing they did was a chest xray. When he doctor came in the room, the first thing he said was, pneumonia! He has fluid in the lower portion of his left lung. They gave him a shot, and 3 additional prescriptions, and if that didn't clear him, there was nothing left but to be admitted to the hospital. The doctor was trying to keep him from having to do that over this special time, and I appreciate him for that. We went straight to our pharmacy, got the meds and headed home. He was so tired and I was as well, so we ate and went straight to bed. He is still in the back bedroom, and the doctor reminded me to wash my hands often!
Because of the above, we don't have any plans for today except getting him well. I have a few more small gifts to buy, but I have time as they are not things that would sell out quickly.
My hint for the day.............as bacon is my favorite breakfast meal, I had to save this and share.
Praying for Jim!! I had to quit teaching in the public school system cause I contacted that..not a fun thing to have. I will continue to keep him in my prayers and you as well. --love the picture--thanks for the bacon tip, I have been baking the bacon for some time now..seems to be better that way, as for the 70's-bah hum bug, lol. Still snowing here..still cold..but..I like it..so not complaining. Blessings
ReplyDeleteYou will have to enjoy your snow for me too, cause I doubt we will get much, if any at all.
ReplyDeleteContinued prayers for Jim. I'm glad you can stay home today and just focus on letting him heal.
ReplyDeletePrayers for your hubby as well as for you...
ReplyDeleteRest up yourself and stay home...tea and cozy quilts. : )
Prayers continue for Jim. I hope today finds him feeling better. Love the photo and your background! I need to try baking our bacon. I love bacon, but hate standing there waiting for the fat to cook out and/or getting popped with hot grease. Thanks for the tip!
ReplyDeleteHi, Linda! I was hoping when I came to visit your blog today that I would find that you and Jim or both doing well. I am so sorry to hear that Jim is still having issues. I haven't been around in awhile but you both have still been in my thoughts and prayers.
ReplyDeleteI too like the picture of the baby and the dog by the Christmas tree, very sweet.
I have never tried cooking bacon in the oven but I may just give it a go and see how it does. Hubby and I like it cooked in the microwave but who knows we may like it better cooked in the oven.
Hugs and blessings!
Praying that the new meds help Jim feel better!
ReplyDeleteI love that picture and the bacon tip too.
Pneumonia is nothing to fool around with. Keep him medicated, watered and warm!!! Prayers for a speedy recovery!!! I just got my pneumonia shot today...should be good for 10 years now!!!
ReplyDeletePrays for Jim.
