GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME, AND ALL THE TIME, GOD IS GOOD!

This is late for me to be posting...I am usually up and at it by 6:30 and here it is 9:30 and just beginning.

Seems decorations are the talk of 'blogville', so am sharing some of mine.  You have already seen my outside-on the porch tree, so here are some of the insides....snowman and girlfriend on fireplace mantel, little Christmas tree and village on table, 3 doggies who sing on top of the piano, my glass blown ornament hanging on the antique telephone (to keep cats and children from breaking it) and the fireplace warming us every day and night!

We still have cold temps, but as of right now, the rain has ceased, praise the Lord!  I can handle the cold, but rain is another thing entirely.  I can even handle snow, cause then I don't get out and drive in it anyway!  No plans today.

FUN FILLED FACT FOR THE DAY ---------

When did we start putting electric lights on Christmas trees?
Well, the historical record is not precise on this, but we know that in 1882, the first tree lights were sold in New York City.

  4. Linda, your background is so cute today! I love your holiday decorations, and understand about the glass-blown ornament being safe, and out of harm's way! None of my special things are out or on the tree this year....Vinny! LOL

    Stay safe and warm!

  8. Very pretty! I wish we had a fireplace. I think the rain and cold are going to be in our neck of the woods sometime tomorrow. Brrrr!

Of course, the first Christmas lights where candles. There were quite a few tree and house fires in those days. Yipes!

    God bless. ~:)
