The annual Christmas parade in our area was held yesterday, even tho' it was misting rain, it went on. Our church entered one of our school buses, and there were riders and walkers handing out candy, etc.
We were shocked to have won 2nd place!
Jim is better and the coughing has subsided quite a bit. He is still weak and he said, sore all over, from coughing so much and so hard. He won't be going to church this morning. A few more days and hopefully he will be back to 'normal' - whatever that is!
...that's it for now.
Very powerful post this morning! Funny, as family "thinks" they have religion..but in reality, well..never mind..that is a conversation for another day..congrats on winning!!! Blessings
ReplyDelete2nd place is fantastic!!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right, Linda. We must have Jesus as our savior.
Thrilled to hear Jim has gotten so much better!! Hopefully he will gain his strength back in time to enjoy Christmas!
Glad to hear Jim is improving. Praying he continues to get strong so he can enjoy Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine being in a parade on such a nasty day. I hope nobody gets sick. That's great your church got second place.
I love your message in this post. Jesus said: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." He wasn't talking about "having religion". He was talking about accepting Him as Lord and Savior. There is NO other way!
You have a great day, my friend. You take care. ♥
You have preached a powerful sermon, with very few words today. Yes - Jesus is the only way!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on getting second place. Glad Jim is doing better and pray that continues!
So glad Jim is getting better. I know what hard coughing can do to the rib cage and other areas. Hope you don't get anything. There seems to be a lot of sinus infections going around at the moment. No wonder as changeable as the weather is from day to day. Right now it is 24 at 1:30pm. Sun is shining, but that fools a person makes you think it is warmer than what it is, also the wind is blowing some. Have a great Sunday afternoon and evening.
ReplyDeleteThis IS a powerful post! AMEN!! I like the sign and the thoughts. Jesus is my Saviour and I should live appropriately to show His love to others. He's not a religion. This could be a whole sermon. Excellent my friend. Thanks for the thoughtprovoking post. Congrats on the 2nd place and Jim feeling better. Y'all are 1st place in our hearts. God bless. ~:)
ReplyDeleteSo glad to read that your Jim is better.
ReplyDeletePraises and thanksgivings to our Lord for taking tender care of him.
And...you are absolutely correct about the difference between religion and salvation.
So glad Jim is better, it does take some time though to get back to top notch. Congratulations to the winners! I agree wholewholeheartedly with your sermonette.
