My title picture is on a ridge overlooking Chattanooga at night.
Today we will travel to our middle daughter's house for our family 'Christmas', which includes brunch at 11 and then open gifts afterward. It is going to be slightly different than all other years. One granddaughter has strep throat and not sure she can attend; another granddaughter has a basketball game at 1, which doesn't give her and her parents much time to spend, and Jim isn't sure he feels well enough to go either. So....hoping for a good time, but not holding my breath.
Had to have a lot of work done on my car to the tune of $325.00, which bit into the money to spend for gifts.
I don't make new years resolutions either, but I do pray that my attitude and outlook on life will be better and that those I love know just how much.
Hoping your last celebration of the Christmas season is a good one, in spite of illness and hurried visits. It's not the gifts, it's the love that counts!! Making memories is the important thing. Travel safely and enjoy your day!! Hugs.
ReplyDeletePraying that your family time will be a good one. Continuing prayers for Jim. Also, if we were to ever move again, It would be to Chattanooga. Love, love, love it there. Blessings
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas! I'm all caught up with you now! I didn't reply on any of your posts, so I wanted to just say hi and I haven't forgotten you.
ReplyDeleteYour picture of the city is so pretty. I love night-scape photos.
ReplyDeleteHope your day is good and you can enjoy yourself.
We're all hoping 2014, will be a fabulous year for you, Jim and all your family.
ReplyDeleteI do hope you enjoyed your celebration.
ReplyDeleteNice pic of Chattanooga at night. Y'all must be closer to the town than I realized. We're waaaaaaaaaaaaay out in the boonies. :) The only lights we can see are our own.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about the granddaughter's strep throat! I pray she can rest and heals quickly. Really, just my never-to-be-humble opinion but I would have Jim rest. Upper respiratories can be serious at our age. And sorry to hear about the "sick" car. Having vehicles sure can be a liability. We're down to one. Sold my Jeep Liberty last month. Don't know how long that will last but it's kinda nice to just have one vehicle to maintain.
Like the Friends sign. It's good to remember that: look at the garden, not the fence. Good advice.
Everybody get well soon. God bless! ~:)
