PROBLEMS COME, AND HOPEFULLY WILL GO!

If I didn't have problems, it seems I would have no life at all!

1)  How do I get my mouse to work again?  I don't like using the touch pad because it is sooooo slow and I have clicked everything I know to click to use the mouse instead....it is installed and worked properly, or so the computer keeps telling me, but I cannot switch....HELP!

2)  Some time ago a couple of my friends here asked me how to center my title picture or words.  At that time, I had not crashed and had the solution.  Now I cant find it to save my life.  Can you help?

I did get the tree up, the lights on and the presents in the rocking chair beside the tree.  I took a few pictures before church last night, but they are not good.  Bear with me, and I will do better and share here.

Jim is having some problems with bleeding gums, and his first thought was the Xarelto, but called his cardiologist, explained his symptoms and he doesn't seem to think it is related.  I feel he needs to call his dentist, and he said he would in the next few days, if it continued.  Sigh....if it isn't one thing, it is several isn't it?

I need to do laundry, change beds, put up small tree in living room, cook something good for him to eat, etc., etc.

A little prayer or fingers crossed would be helpful for me today!

  2. Do you have a wireless mouse? If so when you turn it over to put in the battery, there should be a little thing next to where the battery goes, Abe's say Logitech, it plugs into a USB port on the side of your lap top. If you have one with a wire, the end of the wire plugs into the USB port. The wireless one can only communicate with the little plug in that goes into the USB port so it can work. The wireless kind also has an on/off switch in the back. I don't know if this will help you or not.

  3. Linda, if you go to Template and click on the CSS button, then replace what is there with this: #Header1 {width:650px;margin:0 auto} I think that is the code to center the header. I forget where I saw the instructions (after you posted them), but give that a try.

Sorry to hear Jim is having gum problems!! It's always something, indeed.

To get your wireless mouse to work again, go to control panel, look for MOUSE and then look for the tab with your brand of mouse. You should be able to turn off the pad there. This is vague, but maybe you can see what I'm talking about.

Prayers offered, my friend, today and every day. Hugs.

  4. I'm not sure about your mouse either. We have a plug-n-play USB on our laptop. If Bob has trouble with it, I unplug the mouse, turn the computer off, plug the mouse back in and restart the computer. The computer then recognizes the hardware attached and works just fine. If this doesn't work, I'd do what Patty wrote you above.
Jim's problem may just be temporary --- hopefully. Bob had the same awhile back. I got him a soft toothbrush and kept after him about being more gentle and not scrub so hard. He hasn't had any trouble since. Is Jim's blood pressure up? That could cause it too.
Saying a little prayer for you today. Stay positive and smile. Take care. ♥

  5. After reading all the comments above, I think you're pretty well covered with the Mouse and centering questions. :) I do hope it all worked according to plan with no more problems.

Sorry to hear about Jim's bleeding gums. It is best to use a soft toothbrush (I used to over scrub mine). Hope that situation is temporary and doesn't denote something else is amiss.

If y'all have DirecTV, put the channel on 866 (Light Classical). They're playing Christmas music almost exclusively. That almost always cheers me right up! I pray y'alls day has improved by now.

    God bless. ~:)
