Mmmmmmmm, that first cup!

I prepare my coffee at night and since I just have the old fashioned Mr. Coffee, all I have to do is punch the button and wa-la, I have coffee.  I have wrestled with getting a Keurig but I guess I will use the one I have until it wears out.

I heard on GMA this morning that New York City had a temperature of 3...Chattanooga, TN, in the deep south had one of 6! Our water wasn't frozen, and we were warm last night, PTL.

Have you ever heard of the "Blood Moon"?  A dear friend posted an article on FB, and it was very interesting.  I feel most of us know that with everything going on in our world today, it cant be much longer until the Lord comes back to take His children home.

In the Old Testament, the prophet Joel states, “The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.” (Joel 2:31)

Acts 2  in the New Testament states: “And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood and fire and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes.”

This is the site my friend posted on FB, if you are interested in reading more.  http://bloodmoonprophecy.com/

Jim and I decided yesterday that we wouldn't stick our noses out the door until it warmed up, so from the above info, you can tell what I have been doing...reading!

  1. Best to stay inside when the weather outside is frightful!! I will be interested to know when we can expect the next Blood Moon and what will happen in Israel (or to the world!). Thanks for the interesting link, Linda, as we wait patiently for the second coming of our Lord.

    Take care and be warm!

    2. LOL. LINDA! That's me! There are just days when I look around and go..huh? My husbands uncle said, "Linda, it is because your taking care of my nephew (my husband) and my grand nephew!" Geesh, I sure hope so, lol.

  4. I remember my mom always getting her coffee ready in her Mr. Coffee every night, Linda. It was white and yellow, I think! Thanks for the memory. : )
I hope you are warm and snug!

  5. Keep your noses inside, my friend. You and Jim both! Good decisions!
I've been doing a lot of reading, too. I am reading the Bible through this year. It is a goal I have, and I am committing myself to doing it.
I am sipping on a hot cup of coffee as I type this to you.
Like you, I'm staying inside until it warms up outside. It should warm up here on Thursday. We will be back in the 70's by then, and I'm looking forward to that.
Continued prayers for you and Jim and for your health.
    Love to you both,
    Jackie

  6. I always prepare our coffee maker the night before. We have a Bunn (a full pot of coffee in less than 3 min.) so the first one up in the morning just has to pour the water in. This is our 2nd one and we like it.
I've read a couple articles about the blood moon. Very interesting.
Hope you and your Hubby stay warm and safe. Thank you for your kind comments on my page. God bless.

  7. I'm not a coffee drinker but my husband loves the keurig. The blood moon article is interesting. I agree that we are in the end times.

  8. I miss having caffeinated coffee. I had to give it up because of my MVP (Mitral Valve Prolapse) but I do feel much better without my heart racing at 90 mph. I save that for my motorcycle. [giggle] Love the taste of coffee with all the proper garnish. Happy memories, that.

I've always called the "Blood Moon" the Hunters Moon. I think both are acceptable. There's suppose to be four of them this year. It's a natural occuring celestrial event that's been entertaining us humans for eons. I enjoy watching the heavens. The sky shows more of God's wonder in the universe He made.

    God bless. ~:)

  9. I'm in the Knoxville area, and we've stayed warm and with water, too. I went to visit my son for a little while (he's at UT) and he had no water, and his apartment was freezing. So, we had to take a quick trip to Walgreens to buy a space heater, and they called the landlord to let him know their pipes were frozen. (They didn't know to keep the water running...his roommates are from NJ & Pa., so I guess they don't have to worry about doing that in the winter!) Stay warm!
