RAIN BUT WARMER!

Good Thursday morning!  We are due rain beginning this evening and then getting heavier through Saturday night.  That's OK, I can handle rain if the temperature is warmer and supposedly it is to be middle 60's by Saturday.  Hopefully, it will wash all the snow and ice away.

Aryn has a basketball game Friday evening, and I really want to go, but it will depend on how Jim feels.  She is just 60 points away from scoring 1,000 points. She started playing in the 6th grade and is now in the 10th, and we think that is pretty good. Her coach is going to recognize her when she hits the mark!

I have kinda slowed down on my Postcrossing, so I need to get by the post office, and get some more international stamps and get going again.  I have really enjoyed seeing the world through people's eyes that live in those countries.

I will share something with you that I discovered this morning regarding titles for our pages here.  I went to 'Facebook Covers for Timeline' and began looking through the titles.  Some were good, so I 'saved as' and can use them as a title here....the one this morning of the turtle came from there.  Not the background, just the title pictures.  Just FYI!

If you think people around the world can,t be friends, let me tell you a story.  A gentleman in my church moved from West Va. to Chattanooga and joined our church.  He came to me shortly after and approached me and said, 'I have been told that you are a praying person and I would like you to pray for a dear friend of mine.'

The friend lives in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, is a lady that is 34 years old, and has mesothelioma and has only been a Christian for 3 years.  She was an atheist.  So of course I said I would pray for her.  I befriended her on FB and we became friends there.  Last April, she flew to Chattanooga, stayed with a single lady in our church, came and gave her testimony, and was a blessing to so many.  I got to spend some time with her and she is the most positive person I have ever known.  After that, many members also befriended her and we have been praying for her.

This Tuesday, she went to a hospital in Chicago, Illinois to have a surgery that was just unreal to many of us.  The surgeons literally opened her up and took out her organs, washed them with chemotherapy, removed some of her organs, such as appendix, spleen, and not sure what other, then closed her  It was an 8 hour surgery.  The day after surgery, her brother posted she was sitting up, awake and talking, and day two, she was up with nurse's help.  This was done to hopefully get all the cancerous areas, so that she could live a long and fruitful life.  She is truly a miracle.  Her testimony to the minute she went in to surgery was that God was by her side, and she wanted His will to be done.

With no new news, I will wish you a happy day.  Praying you are warm and safe.

The power of prayer is so awesome, Linda. I always thought mesothelioma was a death sentence (was for my friend, Peggy). Praise God!!! Please keep us posted, and she will be in my prayers, too!

  5. Terri, it always has been, and we have no way of knowing how God will work with Rebecca, but she is 100% sure He will heal her. She had been all over the country to different doctors and different hospitals, trying to get answers. We are praising the Lord for the surgery and the doctors.
