THURSDAY - AGAIN!

Do you understand my title picture?  Do you sometimes feel like Facebook or Twitter or Tumblr or any of the other internet sites call you?  Do you just feel like you HAVE to stop what you are doing and check to see if there is a message for you?  lol  I admit...I do.  Fortunately, my utility room, where my washer and dryer are, are very close to my computer desk.  I can carry a load of clothes to be washed, and once loaded, go right back to my computer.  I would never have thought in a million years, that my retirement days would be spent on a machine!

Two of my precious granddaughters played out in the snow yesterday and my daughter sent me some pictures.  They live on the other side of town, going north toward Knoxville, and we don't get to see them as often as we do the others.  Caroline and Elizabeth.....they are best friends!

These little girls 'play'.  They don't watch television and have incredible imaginations.  They love to play dress-up, play school, put on performances and all the things little girls used to do....they do. Their family is very close and do everything together....even household chores!  They are 7 and 5 and already set the table, put the dishes in the dishwasher, put their clothes away, and empty wastebaskets.  And cook, yes they love to cook and my daughter and son in law have taught them well.

Well, it is another school closing day and still have cold, cold temperatures and snow on the ground.  The sun is out however, and we are supposed to reach the 40's today.

No plans to go anywhere, so will continue reading on my Kindle and stay warm.  Hope your Thursday is a good one also.

Wouldn't this be appropriate these cold days?

  3. Good morning, Linda! My goodness, you guys got a lot of snow!! Brrrrr!! Nice to see photos of Elizabeth and Caroline! Looks like they were having lots of fun. I really do remember when snow was fun....

That toilet seat idea is a good one and made me laugh. I can remember sitting on a cold seat, when I still lived in Ohio! Your cover photo tells it like it is! LOL

  4. Hi Linda! I love the photos of your granddaughters!! Wouldn't it be nice if we could all love the snow like children do? It sounds like your daughter and son-law are raising their daughters in such an awesome way! As funny as the toilet picture is, it is actually a really good idea..Lol. I check my social sites all day long! I work from home and I am on my laptop almost all day so I see notifications pop up and I am right there to check them out! Stay warm and have a wonderful day, Linda!

  6. I usually shop on Thursday, unless we have a doctors appointment. I didn't have any appointments, but I also didn't feel like going to the store. Tuesday and Thursday are Golden Buckeye days, you get 5% off your total. But I hurt when i got up and it hasn't improved that much, will probably take one of Abe's 800mg Motrin aat supper time. Morning i should feel a little better. Abe said will the sun is or was shining, and it's 27 today, don't know what tomorrow will be. According to weather map, warmer and some rain is possible, depending on how cold it will be. Thought when I take Granddaughter to school, will go from there. I haven't done anything today except trying to get my knees nice and warm, they are aching so bad.

As for the socks, thank goodness our bathrooms aren't that cold for me to slide a pair of socks on the seat. But hey, that is a good idea if you have a cold bathroom. You should suggest that on Face Book, LOL.

Daughter is off work today, she works so many 12 hour shifts then has a few days off. So she is fixing supper. She's already baked this delicious chocolate cake and icing it. Looks delicious.

Keep warm and snuggle, hope you're reading a good book, I have three

  7. LOL, Abe asked me to come into the living room when I was out in the office on my computer, and I left my first mess and went, came back and sent it forgetting to look at what I was saying, I have three, and I'm trying to read one at a time, the one I'm working on now is Oogly, story of a brave dog.

  8. Great idea with the socks. Our older daughter taught school in Japan for two years and had a heated toilet seat. She loved it since her apt was not the warmest. School is out here for tomorrow, too. I think someone said a water line had busted at one of the bigger schools. It's wonderful to hear about children who still play and not just on computers. They sound like a very sweet family.

  10. I like that sock idea! I have to admit that Facebook calls to me too, and far too often. :)

  11. And if FB isn't a time waster, then all those versions of computer solitary keep me off the streets and out of trouble for a very long time, as the dust keeps piling up!!!
