I am so full of thankfulness I wish I could stand on top of the Empire State Bldg. and shout!
I am thankful for people that cross my life that God has used to help me. When I went to the doctor yesterday, first thing we talked about was the expensive drug that I take to control my blood sugars. I told him my problem, and he said, "do not worry. We get samples every week from the pharmaceutical reps, and all you have to do is call the office each week, ask for my assistant, and if we have samples, you can come by and pick them up!" You will be fine and I will work with you any way I can.
I almost cried. #1, I am thankful I have a Godly doctor who truly cares about people. #2, I had lost another 8 lbs. since I was there in early September, and he said if I continued losing, I could probably get off ALL of the prescription drugs.
Needless to say I had been really worried, and God took care of me, as He always has and always will, if I will just trust Him. Lesson learned.
My oldest granddaughter Aryn, plays basketball for her high school. She has actually been playing high school even back when she was in middle school. In other words, the girl is GOOD! She now is truly in high school and their season begins this Thursday night. Jim and I love to follow her and her team and see what the future might have for her in college sports. She was contacted when she was in the 8th grade from 3 colleges interested in her. If you could see how little she is, you would wonder why this girl can play like she does.
Her school is sponsoring the Hopes for Hope (helps children going to college, and whose parents have had or died from cancer) tournament this year. They had all of the teams come and take pictures for the program. This is Aryn on the right and the captain of her team on the left. Marie is a Junior and Aryn is a freshman. Marie designed the logo for the "t" shirts. They sold 980 shirts at $10.00 each and all will go to the foundation, plus the money received at the door the night of the game.
And moving on to another thing that brings me happiness....Grayce, 11 years old, 5th grade, and already a beauty! Her elementary school had "Red Ribbon Day" yesterday. It was for drug awareness, saying "no" to drugs.
She and Aryn are sisters and my daughter and son in law are doing a good job rearing these two girls. They are active, both make straight A's in school, have respect and are just fun to be around, even for old folks like me!
Ok, ok, I know I have bragged and talked too long, but I am just so full of happiness and thankfulness. Hope your Tuesday is the best ever!

ReplyDeleteWow... the t-shirt design is great. Congrats to your grand-daughter in her sports career. Sounds like picking a college could be quite a task when the time comes. That's fantastic so many are interested in her already. And she's so pretty. * That's wonderful that you have a Godly doctor who actually cares about his patients. That's a blessing in itself. * Hope you have a great day.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a great news about your doctor giving you the samples! My dad was on a very expensive drug and his doctor did the same thing for him. Those are the type of people who should be doctors, they are truly compassionate and really want to help people..God bless your doctor!
