2 Timothy 2:10 -
"Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes,
that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory."
The Lord may allow seasons of trials into our lives, but they are just that - seasons. They will not last forever. They are there for our strengthening and sanctification. We must recognize that endurance is required and when a man has made up his mind that there is nothing he cannot endure, his fear leaves him. Indeed, let us endure!
I am not saying it is easy to endure, because it is not, but it can be done....with God's help.
Good Saturday morning! I hope you are planning to enjoy your weekend doing something you want or need to do. It is to be 70+ degrees, and if so, you can find me on the front porch, reading from my Kindle Fire.
Speaking of reading, I am excited about finding a book someone recommended yesterday, "Life In A Jar". I started researching and found the following video........
If you can watch the video, and maybe read the book, and not be touched, your heart is already too hard. I checked on Amazon and the book is there, so it will be making it's way to my Kindle soon.
This woman was up for the Nobel Peace Prize at the same time that Al Gore won it for showing a movie on global warning. What's wrong with that picture?
We took our ride as I thought we would yesterday. We went up on Lookout Mountain and rode the entire length. The views below are awesome. Even though it was a beautiful day, it looks faded....it wasn't!
While up on top, we stopped at the hang glider spot. Some of the green below is where they land. The first picture is the spot from where they jump.
It was a good day, and a good ride. After we got home and rested, I decided to sit on the porch and watch the world go by. It was actually warm enough to do that.....my kind of weather and day!
WORD OF THE DAY!

I really was impressed with the photos showing the spot where the gliders went and the take off point. Neat photos.
ReplyDeleteNice photos! I'm glad you got out and about. Frigophobia...got to remember that one!
ReplyDeleteI read about that author too. Isn't that a joke? She deserved it... Gore did not! But neither did Obama deserve his. Now the Nobel means nothing anymore.
ReplyDeleteThe scenery near you is beautiful. And I wish we had your weather up here. I can't wait until I can sit on the back patio with my Kindle. It's so peaceful and restful.
Have a good weekend.
Irena Sendler certainly deserved a Nobel Peace Prize more than Gore (or Obummer). I've read about her before, but did not know about the book. Thanks for the review!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you got to take your ride yesterday. That means Jim was feeling better - good news. Love your background!! Even though my DNA test, through Ancestry.com, shows I am more German than Irish, I will still celebrate my Irish roots and maiden name - Kelly! Wishing you a great weekend!
Sounds and looks like you had a wonderful day out. Loved the photos!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing the video and about the book . I didn't know anything about this amazing lady until I found a link on my daughter in law Sara's facebook page. So incredible and she certainly should be recognized . I will look for the book!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos
