The water on my background is bluer than the water falling outside my window, but it is everywhere and has been falling all night. I am not usually happy about a rainy day, but we have had pollen in the upper 400's+ and everything is yellow. Cars, porches, driveways, even our mailbox has been yellow, so this rain is a welcome rinse!
We went to see Jesse play t-ball again last night. It is so funny to watch these little guys. They of course are just learning the game, and instead of throwing the ball, 5 or 6 will all run for the ball and all fall in a heap. It is very entertaining. We go early, park right by the home plate fence, then set up our lawn chairs and enjoy for an hour or so.
I am having trouble sleeping at night. I have never had this problem in my life, and it has popped up just this week. I am sleepy about 10 at night, so go to bed. I lay there after saying prayers, waiting to fall asleep, and it never comes. I have tried everything I know.....reading, watching boring tv, sitting in recliner, taking melatonin, and on and on, and so far, no luck. Any suggestions? I am not in pain, I have no caffeine, just cannot sleep. If I do doze, it is maybe for 30-45 minutes and I am back awake. Maybe I have a guilty conscious about something....lol
Granddaughter Rayven, went for second interview for the school she wants to attend this fall. They have 5 open spaces in the 9th grade and 9 people have applied. She will be notified at the end of this school year. They wait to see if anyone else is not coming back before they notify the ones wanting to come. She felt good about the interview, so we are continuing to pray for her.
That's all the news from 'Hicksville', Tennessee for today.
I am having the same trouble sleeping lately too - hope we both sleep better. I love the water! sandie
ReplyDeleteIt rained hard here too but the severe weather threats diminished to nothing. How cool is that? LOL it's cool here too after the rain.
ReplyDeleteSorry you had trouble sleeping. That is no fun!
I like your water background, beautiful, blue and calming.
Well praise the Lord :)
I love your water background. We've seen that yellow coating on everything too. It's no fun. So many people have been forced to stay indoors with air conditioning just so they could breath. That's one big advantage of the rain. ** The little ones are so entertaining to watch them play ball. They're so cute. ** Sorry you've been having trouble sleeping. It sounds like you have some worries that won't let your mind rest. I hope you will sleep tonight.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda! Sorry to be so late getting to you. It is actually after midnight. Yikes!
ReplyDeleteWhen I have trouble sleeping, Benedryll is my go-to sleep aid. Two of those little pink tablets put me out in about 30 minutes. It is not habit-forming and it works for me.
The little ones really are entertaining, as they learn the sports. I'll say prayers for Rayven, and please keep us posted! Hope the rain washes away the pollen and refreshes your world!! Hugs.
I hope you can figure out your sleep situation soon and get it worked out.
ReplyDeleteI have had an ongoing running nose for the last couple of weeks. I normally don't have allergies but I think that is exactly what I have right now. I can totally understand you enjoying the rainfall! Wishing your granddaughter good luck as she goes through the application process at the school she wants to attend. I'll say some prayers that all goes well for her!
