THE QUEST CONTINUES.........

We went to our primary care doctor yesterday and he was shocked at the condition of Jim.  We were there 2 months ago and since that time, he has lost 16 lbs., cant walk and doesn't talk much either.  Dr. did a complete check up, and drew major lab work.  He also ordered a brain scan and we went directly from his office to the imaging place to have that done.  He also is making the arrangements for home health to come here and give Jim physical therapy, in hopes it will strengthen his muscles.

We left here at noon and didn't get home until 5 pm.  Around 6, our wonderful doctor called to tell us that the brain scan was clear of blood clots, concussion or anything pertaining to his brain.  Our doctor is a Christian and we, he and I on the phone, were praising the Lord for that outcome.  He did say, however,  that something was wrong and we were going to continue to look and find out.  The lab work should be back in a couple of days and he would let us know what that shows.

This morning, we go to the pain clinic for a check up and to make sure his pain meds are working for him, and to get new prescriptions.

On we go....................

  1. Excellent news that the brain scan came back negative for anything bad! Hope the tests find something that can be treated. Not knowing is always worse than being able to put a name to it and start working on fixing it. Keep us posted, please, and prayers continue. It's so great having a doctor with similar beliefs and one you trust completely. Hooray for the home physical therapy! Happy Friday, Linda. Love & hugs.

  4. Praise God the scan was clear. I'll still be praying that God will give the dr wisdom to help Jim and the physical therapy will be just what he needs. It will help with his blood flow too. You are so fortunate to have a Christian dr.

  6. The header picture is right now while the Riverbend Festival is going on. Once that is over tomorrow, there wont be that many boats at one time, and the big stage will be gone. It is still pretty tho! To everyone.....thank you for caring and for your prayers. We hope we are on the right track to get Jim feeling better and more able to get around.
