If you weren't awake until you brought up my blog this morning, those bright colors should open your eyes for sure!  It is another beautiful spring/summer morning.  We had about 2 weeks of spring and are in full swing summer this week with temps of 80-90 degrees.
A dear man in my church went home to be with the Lord yesterday.  He was diagnosed with cancer approximately 2 months ago and now he is without that dreaded disease.  I have not heard nor seen one single negative thing about him.....just 'dear, dear man or friend or Godly man, family man, served God til the day he died' type comments.  What a blessing and he will be missed for sure.  His wife is in my Sunday School Class and we just hope we can help her in some way now.
Jim felt better yesterday morning and we took a ride, but when we got home, he got out of the car and was wobbly and staggered like before.  He went to bed at 8 last night and it is 9:09 am and he is still asleep.  It is a day to day thing for us.
My oldest granddaughter, the one that plays all the sports, is now playing summer softball with her travel team and her Mom took my 2 youngest granddaughters, Caroline and Elizabeth, (her sisters two girls) to watch Aryn play last night and then they went home and spent the night with them.  I know they had fun and I just bet my daughter will have to have a nap this afternoon!!!
I will leave you with the following and wish you a good day.....

God will give us direction in our life.  He will give us and fill us with His joy, and we will find pleasure in His presence!  But it all starts with us saturating our life in the Lord!  So, are we filled up with the Holy Spirit or are we a dried out, crusted Christian?

  1. Happy Saturday, Linda... I'm sure the girls had a great time together, but having all that energy in one room can tire out an adult real fast. LOL
The gentleman from your church is also having a wonderful time, singing and praising the Lord, sitting at the feet of the Father. His wife is fortunate to have her church family to lean on.
I hope you both have a good day.

  2. I do love the new header photo. What a wonderful Christian legacy that man left behind for his family. Hopefully we all can have most of that said about us - - - other than the part about being a man!
I am so glad you had one good day to cherish. Focus on those memories.

  3. Hi Linda! I'm beginning to catch up on blogs. Glad Jim felt like getting out, but sorry he had problems again, when you got home. Day-to-day. It's really all any of us have. Happy you are feeling better! Love & hugs!
