Dead!

My beloved camera died yesterday.  I have had this one for years and it has served me well.  I am a camera nut and take pictures of anything and everything.  I have made movies, captured pictures of grandchildren, birthday parties, Christmas, and even food!

But I will not be without for a long time, as I did everything I knew to do, even uninstalled the program on my computer and re-installed it, to no avail.  Sooooooo, I sat down and immediately ordered a newer version of the same camera from Amazon.  It said I should receive in 5-7 days.  Just hope no event that needs to be photo'd comes during the "dark" time.

Hopefully my earache situation is behind me.  Jim and I took a ride to Fall Creek Falls State Park near Pikeville, Tn. yesterday.  Up and down two mountains, and saw some beautiful countryside, herds of sheep and the falls there.  Yes, I took pictures but am unable to load on the computer to share.   :(   As we started home, over the two mountains, I had some twinges of pain, and we believe it was the height.  This morning I am ok.

September

Thursday begins the seventh (septem) month in the old Roman calendar. When Julius Caesar decided to start the year with January instead of March, September kept its name but not its position.   On the first day of fall—the autumnal equinox—day and night are each about 12 hours long (with the actual time of equal day and night, in the Northern Hemisphere, occurring a few days after the autumnal equinox). The Sun crosses the celestial equator going southward; it rises exactly due east and sets exactly due west.

Appointment with hand doc to be released.  All is well there.  Starting this afternoon, my grandson and granddaughter will be spending the night with us.  My son and his wife are going to Nashville, TN to a concert to celebrate her birthday.  They are taking one to school and one to the babysitter this morning, then I will pick them up this afternoon and get them ready in the morning.  By afternoon, my son will be home and pick them up.  That's my day/night!
