FIRST DAY OF FALL!

I hate to admit but that is me to a "t"!    However I had lost 8 lbs. from the last time I went to the doctor for a check up and he was pleased with that.  He said if I lost that every 6 months, I would hit my goal.

Good Saturday morning to all my friends.  My grandchildren's high school team won last night, and now we are hoping that our UT VOLS can win this evening.  ROCKY TOP, YOU'LL ALWAYS BE, HOME SWEET HOME TO ME!

No specific plans for me today.  Jim is going to a family reunion down in Alabama, but I elected to stay here and go to grocery.  For me, that will be much more fun.

COOL FACTS ABOUT THE HUMAN BODY:

Your big toes have two bones each while the rest have  three.

A PENCIL MAKER TOLD THE PENCIL FIVE IMPORTANT LESSONS
JUST BEFORE PUTTING IT IN THE BOX:

1. EVERYTHING YOU DO WILL ALWAYS LEAVE A MARK.
2. YOU CAN ALWAYS CORRECT THE MISTAKES YOU MAKE.
3. WHAT IS IMPORTANT IS WHAT IS INSIDE OF YOU.
4. IN LIFE , YOU WILL UNDERGO PAINFUL SHARPENING, WHICH WILL ONLY MAKE YOU BETTER.
5. TO BE THE BEST PENCIL, YOU MUST ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE HELD AND GUIDED BY THE HAND THAT HOLDS YOU.

We all need to be constantly sharpened.  This parable may encourage you to know that you are a special person, with unique God-given talents and abilities.  Only you can fulfill the purpose which you were born to accomplish.
Never allow yourself to get discouraged and think that your life is insignificant and cannot be changed and, like the pencil, always remember that the most important part of who you are, is what's inside of you.

  3. Kris, I only make the super easy dishes. Jim does 90% of the cooking, for which I am thankful. He is a good cook and actually likes doing it..........me, not so much! Hope your weekend is a good one too.
