Our downtown bridges at night!

Good Tuesday morning.  We still have a grey day, but the dear weatherman says it is going to move out and become a nice fall "rest of the week".

At many of the schools around our area, it is homecoming week.  Each day has a theme and the children can dress accordingly.

Yesterday was "America" day...

Today was "Superhero" day......She was the most fashionable Batman ever!  lol

We went out to eat yesterday evening and of course had to ride through our favorite park...Chickamauga Battlefield.  Autumn is sneaking in, and this park is absolutely unbelievable when in full color...all 5,200 acres of it!

There are monuments to every State that fought in this battle in the park.  I took pictures of several, but there are two of the Ohio regimens for my friend Terri!

The tower was a lookout
and sits on a hill.

It is a Weight Watcher soup kind of day, so I will make that and some cornbread to go with it.  No calories in the soup, so I have to have something fattening don't I?  lol  I also have a key lime pie in the freezer!

Trust God's hold on you more than your hold on God.

  1. Hi Linda! Thanks for posting about the Ohio soldiers!! Much appreciated. I have at least two ancestors who fought in the Civil War (sorry to say, on the Union side - from Pennsylvania, actually). It is a beautiful place! How awesome that you can drive though often. The homecoming 'pep-rally' costumes are cute. We actually did that when I was in school (100 years ago, I think!). Have a good evening!!

  4. Thanks Cheryl; I love looking around and using different backgrounds, different fonts, etc. There is so much to choose from. Hope you are well, and have gotten some of this pretty fall weather. My favorite time of the year.

  5. How fun for the kids for Homecoming. :) I bet the park is beautiful when all the leaves turn their fall colors. I've been to Gettysburg, PA twice and hope to go back again in the next couple years. It is truly an incredible place to visit.
